all of the vids I posted so far have been me basically hovering around...I have to give the video cam back tonight so I shot a quick one right at dark....light was dim..it was the first and only battery of the day(cant wait for daylight savings and spring)so I was a little tight and rusty...but at least you can see I'm moving along finally and can do more than hover....I'll shot a better vid when time allows

Nice!
I really liked that it was OBVIOUS you were making a square. Often times when you see flight it looks quite random. It might not be, but it usally looks that way. Doing a square is hard to miss. There were also a couple of nicely controled, ever so perfectly banked turns. How are your figure-eights?

Nice ... naked flying
I always fly naked in my yard...the neighbors love it

thanks for the compliments...as I said in another post...I really feel like things are starting to "click"..and its all comming together nicely....once the weather breaks and we get more time to fly during the week after work, and I can get a few days in a row of some serious stick time....I think things will really come together well..and I'll make some REAL progress...this years flying season is gonna be so F'in AWESOME...I cant wait

edit
How are your figure-eights?
....I'm working on them now...they are comming along well....I only had a few min and 1 battery today so I just tried to have fun and fly a little...stick times been tough with the weather...and my backyard is a weird shape and there are some hanging branches, that have kind of predetermined my patterns...they are hard to see sometimes and I learned the hard way what happens if I go just a litle too high or far back...not good

"What-da-Expect"........he plays music ! Just kidding guys.........! But it is a proven fact that kids that take music,do EveryThing Better, in all other class'es. Today Show, did a piece yesterday about that. Im not sure, but I think its got to do with "Self-Disaplin",( My Band-&-Crew, Hated Thoes Words !) But when you learn to play music, something changes in yr sicic. Same thing with Dar learning Moris Code at 18 wpm, and learning to fly Heli's. Its that "Self-Displin" we train our selfs to do. We, learn to Focous, more or less, and that it self, makes us do everything else better. I hope im making sence here............! Let Me Put it in "Hillbilly-Terms"......Watch 2 guys, one was in the sevrice, and one wasen't. Dont matter what branch either. Drill-Sagr's. are all the same ! You can tell by hanging around the guys, and see the one that did the "Hup-1-2-Thing" Evan Ol Jerry, up in "Lobbster-Land", still to this day, shows that he was in Uncle-Sams, Boy-Scouts. It's that Ol, Stand Up Stright, Suck-That-Gut-In. MAKE-That-Heli-HOVER......! "Focus".............! Do-It,or do 20.....! Next time you go to town, try and keep yr "Pick-Up" (Texas-Term) preslicy in the spot, whAre the tire tracks, are in yr lane. Here in the Ozarks, its like a roller-coster, and great proving grounds. Do,NOT,Let the Truck, wander from the ruts on yr side of the road. Try Doing it With a Grey-Hound-Bus, sometime. Thats gos back to my heli days, and playin music. Its, a lot harder than you think....................! Thats what a F-16 Pilot can do all day long. Uncle-Sam, Learned him to do that. Its, all about Focous. Or Dar's words to the band-&-crew,"Self-Disaplin",,,,,,,,Playin Music all my life, has helped a lot,in every thing else I've ever done. And, now I have to record a song for the RR Guys. Thats Gona Need "Focous"..........! Mis Dar, called Supper...........................!

hey, fender try some flagging tape on the branches if you can reach 'em, the tape is use in contruction for surveying, usually see it wrapped around steaks marking elevation on construction sites, etc... anyway anything that dangles will work, an old t-shirt ripped to shreads work well also for marking, might help to set your parameter for flying within a safe zone

T-Dar's posts are much like flying helis - seems impossible at first, "I'll never get it" - then all of a sudden it just "clicks" and the pieces fall into place.

Thats gos back to my heli days, and playin music. Its, a lot harder than you think....

words of wisdom Dar! if it's worth doing it's not going to be easy or everybody's going to be doing it. I'm a beginner guitarist and heli pilot, both are difficult and frustrating but the rewards are awesome, perfecting a technique on either takes many hours of practice and then when you make it look easy the uneducated say "I could do that" without ever investing the time to pick up a Tx or instrument. I'm hoping to learn the basics of both for my own satisfaction though I'm a little old to ever be a master and too much of a tightass to get lessons or high end equipment. shizack,, I would like you to be in charge of the Groupies-&-Chic's ! And it's yr job to gather-up, thoes "Scanty-Things" the chic's throw up at us on stage, and then "Divi Them Out Equely" amoungst all of us. And dont let Jerry and Tool, Be TALKIN YA into slippin them a couple extra, just becouse thier Security ! Ya cant trust that guy from "Lobbster'ville" Ya Know? And, who ever is driving the bus on this tour, go get some "Police Do Not Cross" yellow tape outa the baggage-bay, and give it to Fender. That will look better hangin it the trees. Then after the tour, we'll give him the "Big-Box-of-Scanty's", that e'll look cool hangin in Fenders back Yard.......? AND, Slider, dont evan think about "Sniekin Yellow-Thongs" in yr tour bag, Either...??? Poor Fender, would Crash His Heli, knowing you Stole all the Yellow ones ! Lets all get to work and write Dar some lines, to pick out,so we all get "Royalities" off this song. Slider, yr the Mgr. maby you can post a "Hot Rod Heli" Subject, whAre we all can post Lines for OUR-SONG.......? AND, I'll try and not Hi-Jack, it and just come to retrieve lines from yous-guys.
Tag-Out,,,, And Mis Dar said,"Yr Gona Drive Me To Drinkin" ,If Ya Dont Stop Flyin Them, "Hot--------Rod--------Heli's !

HEY! I thought I was gonna be your back-up bass player and amp tech! But, I guess I can handle "feeling out" the groupies and chics. I'll check 'em and make sure they's only wearin' purply drawers or none at all...somebody's gotta do it.

Well, as you could see, some-ol-guy, with a name like MMm-amm-ma-Mike, dun went and left you of the up-&-comming HBK-2 Tour. So, I came up with something very important fer-ya......! I bounce from flat-top, to 5 string bass, to back on the drums, to just standing up front and just use my "Tellipathic-Keyboard" ( Who the hELL,gave me that ol name any ways) and makin em laught. So, you'll get pleanty time playin on stage too. We just need to keep a close eye on them 3 guys, you know the ones im talkin about................!
