Anyone using this with success? I will be running 8311's and 601 and wondering if this will be a good set up?

Pic's of how it is mounted would help alot......Thanks.

I just installed it on mine but haven't flown it yet. I mounted it underneath the radio tray with cinch straps and the switch/ignition portion right under the canopy cutout.

I imagine it will work pretty well only time will tell. I love it on the 600N

how good is the glass canopy itself? sorry to hijack this but would like to know, also is it lighter than the stock unit which I thought was rather heavy with far too much paint on it thanks

Answer to hi-jack....The canopy is the best bang for the buck for sure. It's almost as "common place" if not more, than the stock canopy. It's middle of the road for strength and definately a tad bit lighter. Considering it's only about 40 bucks more than a stock one makes it a winner for a great looking canopy.

the 2in1 as a regulator?

I think that isn't a good idea. That reg is rated to 3 Amps (don't remember exactly), so it's not enought for the electronics of a 90 sized heli.

what about going with arizona or duralite?

regards,

I would also discourage using the align regulator on your synergy. Those 8717 servos draw 6.6 amps total under load according to Castle Creations. They posted a warning about using their regulator with the 8717's and have some current draw data on the page. http://www.castlecreations.com/supp..._advisory1.html

regards,
The Align 2 in 1's are good and capable of 6amp current. The 8717's run fine on them. They also have the glow plug driver function. Personally I don't like them much because of their size and weight.

Fromeco Arizona Regulators and duralite's are the most reliable regulators out there.

Thanks for all the input but some how I am getting 8717's? LOL

I am running 8311's. Will they pull too many amps for the 2n1?

The 2-1 will work fine with 8311s.
