Mine knows it's expensive as hell, she bought me a fully equiped 600N for Christmas at the tune of $2,000. She has also paid for parts that added up to over $500 on several occassions when she went to the LHS, so their ain't no bluffing her into thinking I'm not spending much money.

The good part about our arrangement is I'm retired from the Air Force and have approx $2,200 a month retirement. I went back to work about 10 years ago and when I did, we made the agreement the AF retirement would be my spending money with no questions asked how/where I spent it. The money for what ever job I got would be hers as long as their was food in the house, the bills were paid. The rest was hers with no questions asked about where she spent it. She works and makes good money and I make pretty good money with the job so she has about $6,000 a month coming in and I know the grocery bill ain't that much and we have very few bills.

Mine is great !
My wife and I go back to a period of stone henge when I started with borrowed drawings, hand cut all parts, and you could purchase monocoat by the foot!

Prior to our marriage: my dwelling , living room, dinning room, kitchen, base ment, all wall's and celing ,except the potty and bed room were aircraft. That's of my original balloon frame farm style home. Many nites spent lapbuilding in the ole Barko lounger !

Prior to the wed she new it was gona be part of the deal.!

After 27 or so years of marriage and 35 years or longer playing with toy's - the hobby cost's are self sustaining, and the relation ship is even stronger. She is alway's helping and takes great pride in my skills and doesn't even flinch if I need parts. If I want it bad enough she know's I'll find a way to pay for it in advance ! Sell some thing, build under a contract, make a production run, or what ever !

Heck when I go flying I just take a few and she even help's load out and in !

I bought my wife two Bernina sewing machines, a Babylock serger, a complete Koala sewing table, and frequent visits to the fabric stores-- total about $11k. She never complains when I buy heli stuff, cause she knows how good she's got it.

She now views my heli purchases as a reason for her to purchase more art stuff.

She is working on embroidery right now while I type. hehe what a great life this is!!!

I originally told my wife I wanted 8 helis, her response...wtf do you need so many for?? Ok ill settle...I now have 4 and looking to get 2 others

While building my 600n my wife asked why I took my heli apart...it took her three weeks to notice the extra bird on the wall.

All in fun...

Unfortunately for my wife, RC Helis is only one of my hobbies and not even close to being the most expensive one

My wife hates the expenses of my hobbies (not just helis).

When I buy her one pair of TORN jeans from Nordstroms for $250, I'd consider that a bargain .

My wife is an angel
She says "just buy what you need"

We never quarrel about money. In fact we buy gifts for each other quite often. Try it, she'll love you for it

Darn, didn't know a heli could make such a big crater

My wife doesnt blink a eye at the prices. I mean she cant, she to busy rolling her eyes to blink them. But once they hit the air she loves to watch them go. The other night i came home to find her on the computer playing G4. I think im about to learn how i should be flying from the master. Then im sure that buying a few more will be ok.

My wife thinks I have 37.49 invested into the helicopters, and she is fine with that. the last crash cost 16.99(well there abouts..) and she told me to be a little more careful.....

(my wife's hobby is telling me what to do, and how I could have done it better)

Yeah....... been eight years now, but took years to figure it out and what's even more awesome is that my girlfriend bought my first Heli to get me back into the hobby.

Plus developed a Pilates fitness program for my golf game....

So, She's the Gal!!

What she doesnt know cant hurt me!!! My wife is ok with it sometimes. If I have a few mishaps within a short period of time, then I may have to do some price manipulation...
