Well it seems this thread got some attention. I have just recieved the entire order shipped overnight express. That would have been the end of this, however, Ed seems to think I needed to be scolded for complaining about the BS he pulled on me, tone of my e-mail he says . Hey Ed, If you don't want angry customers try shipping the order as well as saying you did. And it is always a good idea to have what you sold in stock so you can ship! Last but not least, you may want to consider apologizing to the customer you just screwed around rather than scolding them. There are far too many places to shop for me to put up with that. Grand RC won't be getting any more orders from me.
So I'm off to fix my heli. I hope you guys at the fun fly are having a great time and I'll be out tomorrow to see you all. Thanks for all the kind words and offers to help from everybody here.
Carl

this sounds like a storm in a tea cup
perhaps if you had just waited a little you would have got the goods without having a problem?

So you imagine it's acceptable for a vendor to treat his customers this way, with lies and fabricated tracking numbers? Then you deserve every late or never-sent order you place.

Thanks for the heads up, Carl.

same happended to me
Ordered something they stuffed the wrong connectors into my pkg Emailed several times finally got a email back and said he was checking it out and he would get back to me... # days later saw a post and started to stay what happened, I got a very nasty email and was told to find another shop to buy from. I responded back once i have my refund I would be happy to. So what it comes down to is if you have a problem eityher wait on them to email back or call and get told yea well check it out and wait and wait and wait. Till you finally either post and get put out or keep quiet and WAIT. No i got my refund and ran fast. oh and thanks ed the refund took all of a week ?? Guess they needed to borrow my money to boost their interest in the acct rec Thing thats beats me is the invoice had a part # and the pkg was clearly marked with a different # and they shipped it to me and then had the audasity to tell me I am complaining while waiting on unanswered email and they phone calls too. What do you have to do to get some one to check on a missing or mis labled part and check inventory on the right part to see if you got it or are out and return a call ? I guess its to difficult to respond to ur costomers inqueries. OH well guess I get another nasty email. I am sure the will be alot of peeps who get great svc from them but run into a problem and you will be with us unless they may fix there poilicy and get some one who can follow up with emails and call. ANd refund him ASAP, He is not at fault here this is ur first problem ED, dont get so defensive and fix the problem and refund and communication is the key to a good customer service. Sorry for the novel

Did you even read the whole thread? It was an order for several items. The vendor lied and gave false shipping info -- then scolded their customer for complaining about it. Anyone who thinks that's a good way to do biz is a fool headed for failure.

They're off my list of suppliers, and I imagine they're off several others' list too.

FWIW I have ordered many times from GrandRC and never had any problems. However a friend of mine ordered a CarbSmart from GrandRC on Tuesday this week - the website showed a dozen in stock. He paid and received an email that same day stating it shipped and giving a tracking #. On Thursday he received an e-mail stating the the CarbSmarts were held up in customs and that they should be arriving on Thursday and would ship on Thursday or Friday - this after he received an e-mail two days earlier stating it had already shipped. Apparently in stock on the website is not the same thing as in hand, and shipped does not necessarily mean shipped.

I got my parts from them and they pulled the wrong ones. So I kept them and ordered what I needed from somewhere else. I'll assure you I came out well ahead...

Grand RC should pay more attention to customer's. They screw us and we screw you. Ron's HeliProz from now on!!!!

Quick...here comes my wife....hide that new Heli !!!!

The one order I placed with them though was accurate and shipped very promptly.

If you have a junk vcr or cassette deck floating around,, there are at least two hall effect sensors in any one of them and will work in your application,
this is for anyone that might need one for a quick fix

Smile! people will wonder what you're up to!!

A big part of my job is dealing with vendors and buying stuff..........I learned many years ago ALL VENDORS PROVE themselves not when everything goes smooth but after problems arise. Its how a vendor handles problems that seperate the good from the bad, the ok from the OUTSTANDING. I stand by the outstanding, Im very faithful. I forget the bad...........
