I would recommend using the Gov as it just makes setup much easier. If you already have the GV-1, I would use it as compared to going out and buying something different.

As for setup, just follow the manual and you will be in good shape.

Good morning,

Yes, you can fly the Sceadu w/o a governor. Mine's about a year old now and I've flown it only on curves- but to qualify I'm not a 3D flier. I did however receive a governor for Christmas. A Multi-Gov. They come with high praise and a good price too. Set up was easy and straight forward.

My only advice after building mine was just to pay close attention to the mechanical setup. I took a lot of time, caught one mis-alignment before first flying then put it in the air. It was my first nitro and build and it's been absolutely great. No problems whatsoever. I'm looking forward to flying with the governor out of curiosity more than anything else. A lot of users on RR say it's going to make a big difference.

Have fun with it.

Futaba, or look at Radio Shack for some magnets that size. Nothing special about them. Just measure the hole in the fan.

All the magnets used in governors are standard sized so event the Model Avionics ones will work.

Still no problems, only solutions, governed by MARSHALL AMPLIFICATION. I'm a HIROBO Fan, R U?

Just test the magnet before you fit it, as one side will work, the other won't.
