I flew Futaba for years. As I begin to fly electrics some of my friends were Park Flyers. I worried about "shoot downs" so purchased a DX7. It worked perfectly and now is used on all of my planes and helis. Sold off my Futaba gear. No regrets in hundreds of flights.

2.4 is great here too. It's nice to not have to check your channel is free all the time and no risk of being shot down.

The only thing I didn't care for when I got into it, was the low-voltage receiver disconnect.... But as long as you get one of the newer models, they now have "quick-connect" which solves that problem... I love it...

I switched from the very slow Futaba 7chps to Futaba 7C 2.4, and I do feel more connected to my heli. It figures because I went from .8 milliseconds tx to a .3 milliseconds tx. Needed to get used to the new speed, weight and gimbles, it took about 6 flights.
