I don't know about the Venom.

Have you got a manual for the Heli-Max?

tail wont hold
If tail spins clockwise then so is the nose/ head!

I believe when most (tail motor)micro heli's fail they dont produce
enough torqe to counter the blade rotation and thus spin Counterclockwise, You seem to have a situation on two different
heli's where they both are over-torqing the main blade effect.

I would check the reverse switch on your TX for rudder/tail,
You could simply move the stick opposite direction and see if it helps, other than that it must be a mixer issue (possibly adjustment)

It could be that the tail motor is bad. I learned on a blade cp and those motors were hit and miss at best. Some would last a while and others would not. How many flights, has it been crashed?

If you purchased it used and there is no info on the history of the heli, You defently might have a old motor. I use to own the blade cp pro and when the tail motor started to give, The tail would defently not hold.

Pickup a new $12 motor and give it a try. It would be good to find someone at your LHS that has experience on flying helis so he can give you a hand.

Mentors are the best! checkout the latest RCHELI which talks about mentors.
