On my Hawk Pro I have the S3151 servos that came with the radio. I decided it's time to replace them. So I bought two S9250 for cyclic and S9252 for pitch.

I just finished installing them (didn't fly yet) and WOW! What a difference! Everything moves so much faster. I bet in the air my little Hawk will be much more responsive!

I will test fly it this weekend

hey
i don't have a hawk pro...but yep i can definitely see what your saying cause i did the same thing to my raptor 30v2..

had the stock servos that came with my radio (Airtronics RD8000) and then put in 9252s all around.....WOW

people are always trying to tune their motors to get better response and cripser collective...when in fact half the battle is having fast, high torque servos and carbon blades!

happy flying

Thanks

Not just faster, but far more precise. It will feel like a new bird.

Servos...
They make all the difference in the world....the problem with cheap servos like the 3151's are that they don't center worth a crap either...makes controlling a heli like the hawk and the Raptor VERY difficult...

better servos center better and therefore add quite a bit of precision to the heli...

not to mention the fact that the speed sure is nice also...

Hey Jag72, do you live in Weymouth or Marshfield?
I'm from Plymouth but live in Pa. now.

I just did the same. I'm putting all the new electronics into a new heli instead of replacing the servos in the old heli. I'm jumping up from the 3151 to the 9252 and a GY401 to a GY611.
Here's just some of the goodies I got.

I'm right inbetween those towns...I actually live in Hingham...which is the town just south of Weymouth...I live right on the water...it's a great little town...

I was just in Plymouth last weekend...

That stuff you got looks great...you'll be VERY happy with it all..

Here's what you need next though...get rid of the gyros/flybars and paddles and go straight to vbar

Nice helis and I know Hingham well. Beautiful little town. I built a few custom homes there years ago.

I look forward to trying the newer, better, faster, more expensive stuff.
I will say that the 3151 servos and the gy401 along with TJ revmax in my C-5 have giving me so much happiness and enjoyment for the money. I'm definitely not complaining with the cheaper stuff. It got me this far.
May 5 will be my three year anniversary flying helis.

Hi All,

I just put BLS451s in my new 600E. They were tough to fit, but flying them is AWESOME! I really feel spoiled by the speed of these servos.

Keep 'em flying.
