Hello,

I have a red Vario Tail Light that runs on 4.8v.[Rx Battery]. I would like to use a switch on my Tx [12FG] that can be used to turn the light on or off during flight. How can I ahieve this without having a seperate servo activiting a mechanical switch on-board?

You can use something like this http://www.diyrc.com/picaxe-miniflash.htm if you want to get real fancy with your lighting system, or something like this
http://www.trossenrobotics.com/stor...ch-RC-110-.aspx if you want to keep it simple.

Good luck with your selection.

Maybe this for you?

http://electrodynam.com/rc/EDR-117/117cmp.shtml

about 3/4 of the way down the page: " EDR-117RC
Dual RC Switch " Don't know if it works on your system though?

There is a switch unit from Vario, you can also link other lights into it:
