What happened on the landing? The tail doesn't look to be holding very well.

the tail is holding very well with the 43t pulley, trex tail blades and gy240. it was the canopy that jumped off lol

why do you say that the tail isn't holding very well?

Exactly what do you mean by knock you off??? In the past, I have given you advice, It's apparent your way too good of a pilot to take some advice from someone with 35 years experience....

It seems to be wagging back and forth quite a bit. It maybe that its just being tossed around by the wind. But I thought it should hold more steady than that. If it does that when there's little or no wind, there could a problem with the setup. Gyro gain too high, or vibrations can cause that kind of tail wagging.

Um yeah, it looked like the tail was hunting big time to me. I can't go any higher than %60-%65 on mine without it hunting. Try going down to %65 and see go down from there if need be.

Dude
Your tail is not holding well. Check gain and vibration. My bet is the gain is high.

this upgrade is really nice... i recommend. the tail is with much less vibration and much more stable:

the tail box is ok if you leave it with the stock plastic. but i highly recommend the servo mounts and the horizontal mount in alumium =) its really nice and much better than the stock plastic

It does look better, but its hard to tell the way it was filmed and flown. A standy hover with the tail toward the camera, zoomed, would have been a little easier to see with Youtube quality

Personally I don't like the feel of a low gyro gain setting. Feels too sloppy, less connected. So I run as high as my I can get away with. I turn it up until I get a little hunting then back off a percent or two. One way to alow those higher gyro settings is to reduce the vibrations as much as possible. Some times that's easy, bent main shaft, blades out of balance, and other times its very hard. I had a nasty vibration that wasn't solved until I replaced the swash, washout, the bearings in the tailbox and the tail grips.
