This is a lesson alot of people have learned. IMO an apology is due because of because of all the lies. 4-5 weeks after IRCHA '06, Christmas '06, couple weeks after Christmas '06, Feb. '07 pre-orders (I know Augusto didn't do this but he damn sure didn't tell retailers it would be over a year before the kits released), Jan. '08; no way all of this was miscalculations. He knew good and well most, if not all wouldn't happen when he put it out there.
I'm not sure what an apology would do, if anything. I personally don't run my business the way that Auggie appears to run his. My customers need honest deliveries on equipment because they predicate their success on what they are told the delivery of equipment will be.

Obviously, model helis aren't in the same vein but the intent should be not to deceive the customer. The folks at HP are out the money because they prepaid for kits, the enduser is out the opportunity to fly this machine because they were promised a timely delivery and then didn't get it and the community in general suffers because a supplier promised big and didn't deliver which jades everyone that has an interest in the proceedings into thinking that others might have the same M.O..

I think that when companies start interracting with their potential customers on a public forum as is the case with quite a few model helicopter manufacturers, its a pretty poor show to be happy to use this medium to promote interest and ultimately sales when everthing is going their way and then to totally shut off the flow of information when it no longer suits them.

I don't want to know privileged information about someone's business dealings, its not my business, but if you start dishing out lots of information to the public in this way then I see that as a commitment that should be honoured wherever possible.

These forums are monitored regularly but they choose not to join in now it doesn't suit them.

This makes us feel used, I know that they only want our money and I say good luck to them if they have a good product, what's wrong is to suck people in and then just abandon them at will.

I have sympathy for CX but also for the people that dumped money into this machine by selling others in prepartion for this.

I feel its unwise to commit financially to a product that is not available but I understand why people have. If I could only afford one 90 size machine what do I do? Of course I choose from what's available today but how sick will I feel if I really wanted an Aurora and its in the shop next week after I have committed to another machine? Do I sell it and lose a lot or do I just keep waiting for the Aurora?

That's why people are a little fustrated and upset.

Guys,

I've haven't post any comment yet for months... but let's all agree on one thing... the first and only interest for Augusto is to get the Aurora released asap... The man behavior being rational (like all of us) I guess that there's something we don't know about that can't get his whishes become part of the reality.

I don't know whether or not I would have face the same situation in the same way... simply because I'm not him...

That said... let's just hope to get the issue "resolved", the sooner, the better...

There's no need to yell every 5 min. about it... we're ALL angry about the situation and I'm pretty sure that there's somebody who knows about that... that's the man himself.

None, they are too busy packaging kits, right.

I see it as nothing more than this.

1. A man promises delivery knowing full well he cannot deliver (remember 2 xmas ago?)
2. A man takes money for products he cannot deliver
3. A man updates less and less about the product but continues to promise and still doesn't deliver
4. A man stops talking about the product to those with a huge interest. Not just the $100 deposit but the hoards of gear superseeded that they bought 2 years ago for it.

This whole thing is a joke. Good luck to CX. I still hope it works out for him and he doesn't lose his shirt over it all. I just wont buy one now.I don't trust them and what they say (which is mostly nothing). No guarantee of an ongoing parts supply and support.

One guy here is right for sure....they should have never got involved in a public forum unless they had an actual product that existed or was due to exist (for real) very SOON.

Maybe the best heli that ever was but there will be other equally as good options. They may make a brilliant machine but the value they place on the customer is nil.

And do you know what?

If He came on here and just told us the TRUTH about what is happening I would have simply understood it and more than likely given the guy a huge break and even still been keen. I imagine that he would have had support even if he was having trouble as the heli community would have no doubt mostly got behind him.

Augusto....you did this the wrong way.

There's no turning back now from his actions... I think his company will be bankrupt within the year, if not sooner.

medflight: TMoore has been around a while and is greatly respected in the heli community
tmoore: BS but a public apology because someone went out and bought gear prior to a machine actually hitting the street is a bit much IMHO but that's me
Wow, that certainly gains some kudos from the heli community, lol. They are decieved and told it is going to be out time and time again, promised profusely that its not doubt going to be out, get modelers hopes up so much they actually believe it enough to go buy almost a grand in electronics for it and they aren't due a apology for the utmost deceit time and time again? um yea, that thinking is right on there, no apology necessary.

I remember the Avant EFX/FX were gaining ground quickly in popularity before the announcement of the Aurora. I wonder how many conversions carbon extreme sells these days?

Wow, what a good question! If what I *think* might have happened DID happen, then the business is in trouble. Think about it, you announce a new product 2 years ago, people stop buying your "old" product (which in reality IS old now, as well as the base machine it was intended to modify) and you now have NOTHING to sell. Your old bread and butter products sales dry up because you thought you had a new one ready to roll, and now all this time later... whew. What IS paying the bills? $100 here, $100 there???

That's a tough pill to swallow!

Whatever did happen to the guy who won one at Ircha? I don't follow this forum that close. Did he keep it or did they run him down and club him until he gave it back?

It not just Agusto. A friend of mine won a Miniature Nitro 50 in 2,006. He bought servos, receiver, and the every thing for this heli and we are in 2,008 and he is waiting for it.
That is the RC business. In the only place that you read Retail price $2,000 dollars, Our price $850.00

I cannot believe that people are even debating such issues of apoligies etc. Perhaps the die hards that want to know more should focus on Alan ot the team bob00 guys, they are more likly to talk than Auggie at the moment.

Sounds like we need to call it the third Reich Heli, that would be Reich III.

Moto:

We can fly it,
you can't buy it,
we can't say,
but not today.

For the die hards:

The Third Reich Rules.
