OS8 is what comes stock- been running them in my Hyper just fine, but I'm going to try Enya #3, also recommended by folks here. I'll let you know how it turns out- hoping to help the idle a bit, plus the Enya is a hair cheaper.

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.

Plugs
I use Enya #3. I have been using Enya plugs for years. I have not tried an OS#8 but I would think that is a good plug as well.

I run the OS #8 with no problem. Have heard good things about the Enya plug too.

I herd the enya 3 is a colder plug than the os. and to run it if your having heat issues in the hyper.

I thought the enya 3 was hotter at any rate I have tried a few, OS8 are good plugs, but I prefer the enyas, I seem to have found they last longer (years ) I just will only use them in my helis now.

you could be right Simmer, i had a toki 40 as my first love, and it was a temperamental little bugger, I seemed to always be adjusting the high end until i finally found the sweet spot of the low end too, but in the process of trying to make it run cooler(180 on the back plate) i was told to try an enya3 to run it colder, didn't ever get that far though, as i foud it was a tuning issue. I think the enya3 has thicker filament though, (I need to check my RCHELI stock to confirm) and I'll get back to you.

I have always found Enya No3's to be great, the best thing is that I have never had one fail inflight, the always fail on me when I go to start.

That is typical with glow plugs. The coil may become disconnected but still function for the remainder of the flight.

I always find with Enya No3's that they don't usually fail, you just know that the plug is no good when it doesn't start next flight, they are usually intact and still glow a bit, they just won't start the engine.

No 8 has been the plug of choice for me as thats what is available. When you disconnect the glow driver and the revs drop it's time to change it. Usually after about 30 to 47 tanks of fuel on average.
(looking at my log book) With 47 being the best and 3 tanks the worst lifespan I've had with the OS.

OS8's and Enya 3's both work great for me with the Enya's lasting longer and being slightly easier to tune.
