* This is an all-day event. Rain or shine. (knock on wood)

This event is brought to you by RC Hobby Sports and our friends at the RAM's flying field! We wanted to get in some early season flying!

Here are the directions:

Location: The field is located just inside the northern city limits of Sumner, on the West Valley Highway.

Driving Directions: Take the 24th Street Exit off Highway 167 (Valley Freeway). Turn South (left) on the West Valley Highway and proceed 1.7 miles to the field.

From Seattle: I-5 South > SR 18 East > SR 167 South to 24th St Exit, Right (South) to West Valley Highway, South to Field
From Bellevue: I-405 South > SR 167 South to 24th St Exit, Right (South) to West Valley Highway, South to Field
From Tacoma: SR 512 East > SR 167 North to 24th St Exit, left to West Valley Highway, South to Field
From Maple Valley: SR 18 West > SR 167 South to 24th St Exit, Right (South) to West Valley Highway, South to Field
From Enumclaw: SR 410 West > SR 167 North to 24th St Exit, left to West Valley Highway, south to Field

Well, It was good to see everybody again Saturday. I regret leaving in an upset state, but it was for the best. My engine died randomly for the 2nd time in two months, and I just wasn't feeling well.

I pulled 2 of those maneuvers after you left, one flight after the other, first with my 500 and then my 450...but I still had a blast today and it was great to see everyone again after a long winter.

The Damage
Here's my lovely damage. I should invent my own wrist pin retainer clips. OS's keep breaking and doing damage like this in mid flight:

And here are the results of amazing forced auto (I was amazed myself considering the speed I was falling from the sky). Couldn't have happened to land in a more level spot in the RAMS swamp lands.


It looks so innocent... but I was ready to body slam it.
