Give the Vibe a go, its time JR had a turn at the top. I think it will be a fine machine that will be a pleasure to own.

Get the xtreme 50 from RJX
That's what I did, I was waiting for the Vibe, and it kept getting put off. After looking hard at the RJX, I decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did, it's an awesome heli. I'm sure I'll still pick up a Vibe 50 at some point, but I couldn't be more satisfied with the RJX.

Topic would be shorter if you reworded that!!

.....any positives to the Xtreme 50?

The head would look nice on the mantlepiece all shiny and new.

lol

Come on guys... this isn't a bashing thread. There are issues on all birds. Some better some worse. Some have quick fixes others don't.

On the 600N you can fix it all with money. On the V3D, we don't know yet (I did however hate the idea of grinding the stock vibe 90 swashplate to avoid bindings at extremes). The RjX... well, can't speak of it as I don't own it but from what I've seen (a good friend has one) there are some issues that money can't fix but some work can.

I think that for me, at the end, it comes down to looks. They all seem to fly well so why not get one you like to look at?

That's complete BS. I did a build thread in the RJX forum. Nice heli with a few issues. nothing big, better flyer than the 600N, excellent quality.

Don't want to get between you guys but the one I saw had some serious tolerance issues especially on the seesaw, swash antirotation guide and also with some threads on the mixer arms.

Nothing you can't fix but it kinda makes your bubble about the perfect heli blow up.

Dunno when that one was made, but I've read that they've made continual improvements. On mine, the seesaw was junk, and the fit between the washout and radius block is a tiny bit loose. Other than that, mine is solid. Both were easy to fix.

Droid, I was reading what you wrote as saying that the only good thing is that the head is pretty. I really like mine. If I could get rid of the 600N for a fair price, I'd consider getting another RJX.

Who bashed Align for making continual improvements? Not me. I like that a company makes improvements. The problem with Align is that they don't change the junk bearings, and poor swash geometry.

Go read my 2 page review post before you accuse me of lying about the quality. I didn't make any friends with the people who have a financial stake in RJX with it.

Didn't accuse you of lying, just nice to see you admitted it wasn't a perfect machine, as many who own one on here seem to have blurred vision.

Wish I could find the perfect heli. I have yet to find one. Even if the RJX was perfect construction and parts wise, the limited distribution sucks, which is why it took me a while to decide to buy one. Other than that, parts are inexpensive (close to Align, not quite as low), and that head gives so many options, it can fly however you choose. Mine flies awesome, better than my heavily upgraded 600N. If the Vibe is as good as it looks, I'll be bite the bullet and lose the cash on the 600N and replace it with a Vibe 50, and have the Vibe and X50.

BTW, the junk seesaw seems to be a limited issue, the problem with my original one is that the threads were weak and stripped out from tightening the bolts. The replacement is fine.

Most of the guys who own one on here seem to be field reps. I made that observation in a post a little bit ago, I think it hurts the company to have so many reps, it's a pretty transparent way to get good PR, when the machine can stand on it own.

Yeah I noticed that also. I'm surprised MR lets the reps make so many pr posts on the heli. I personally don't mind and I appreciate the info even if it is a little biased.

What it does in my mind is raise the question of what problems does the heli have. I know that my seesaw had an issue with the threads, and a rep posted that he saw it to (which he got in trouble for). How do I know that everyone hasn't had the same issue, when it's just me and 20 reps posting. They aren't going to point out the weak areas. I just think that it's not a good strategy to have so many.

Pretty much no one here can talk with any real authority on the Vibe 50. Most have not even seen one other than in pictures and I doubt anyone posting here has actually flown one yet. So all the claims of how good it will be are just pure guesses. Lets not forget the Airskipper was by most 3D standards a dissapointment.

Does JR have better quality parts? Most say yes (including me) but you are also going to pay more for those parts.

As for which looks better....Well that is pure opinion. I personally think the 600 looks better. My opinion of which looks better should not matter one bit to anyone but me. Besides, I'll fly an ugly machine if it flies better than the best looking around.

As for design...Well many people on here have stated that Curtis does not get to put a lot of input into the design...Well I have heard that from several people in person as well. Yet, Jason had all kinds of input on the Trex.

Most designs have some issue when they are first released. Maybe they are big, maybe they are small. Honestly I would avoid the new stuff unless you like to tinker with stuff. I had the first N600 in my area and I will not be the first with the N700. I would also not be the first with the Vibe 50.
