I have a Trex 600n and have seen the vibe 50 up close.

Too many pro's and con's to call.
Trex is cheaper.
Trex parts (may) wear quicker, but parts are cheap and generally come in packs of 2.
Trex flies real nice and is easy to work on.
I have seen the vibe fly and it flies real nice too. It didn't look like it flew any differently to the Trex, but i haven't flown one so couldn't say which is better in the air.
I would make an educated guess that the JR quality is built in, so it'll be a solid heli and parts (may) wear less, so costs less in maintenance, but I don't know.

I wouldn't say one is better than the other as it comes down to money and personal preference.

Which do you prefer and good luck with your decision.

You won't be dissapointed with either

hard to answer since the vibe 50 hasn't been released yet...no one knows if it will have any issues, and very few people know how it flies...

All I can say is how much $$ do you have to do repairs and how are you going to fly ? You can make them both perform it's just one cost more to fix and getting parts is the other issue

For sure you can't really go wrong with the Trex. As for the Vibe 50 it's yet to be seen, still waiting for mine. If it's anything like it's big brother, it's sure to please. Usually it's fairly hard to beat JR's quality....

Trex is the best looking of the 2 , but JR is much higher quality.I would pick the 600n.

It depends on how much you plan on crashing.

If you think you are the type to push yourself with a heli then its gotta be a trex, if you push to hard an all goes wrong its not going to cost to much. It aint got the quality of JR stuff but its certainly good enough for the job.

If your the type who likes a nice quality low maintenance heli which you're going to fly in your comfort zone (what ever that is) and enjoy how it looks and feels then the Vibe may be a better choice.

But as everyone else has said the proof is in the pudding so would be a better question to ask when its been out for a couple of months and people have been living with them

My heli works as an ornament.......at least it stays in one piece!!!

I agree with what Jeff said and I will add this, do you tend to wear parts out first, or do you tend to break them by smacking them into the ground first?

Me, well, I tend to smack them into the ground with what couls sometimes be reffered to as "alarming regularity". I am not very happy to just fly circles or do some rolls and loops, I want to learn how to fly a helicopter the same way I can fly a plane so I do tend to push it a bit. Therefore the cheap (relative) cost of repairs to the Trex suite me, I cannot see how the Vibe would fly so much better then the TRex that I would be able to take advantage of the flight characteristics at this point in my learning. Who knows, to some ther may be an appreciable advantage to the way the Vibe 50 flys as compared to the 600n, we will have to wait until it hits some fields to find out.

I know of one guy where I fly who already has all of his new equipment waiting for his Vibe to arrive. I too am looking forward to seeing how it performes especially as he has a 600n to compare it to, but I do not see any reason as to why I would buy one at this point as the 600n is doing the job for me right now.

You gotta be kidding me

I have all reasons to have pre ordered the vibe. I think its superior in most aspects to the 600N. There is only ONE big question right now... does it fly as good as the rexy? I'm going to find out soon and if it doesn't let me down... well you know what will happen to the rex. On the other hand, if it doesn't fly as I like it, make no mistake... I have no problem in selling the kit the next day.

My average is one crash per year (knock on wood) mostly electric or mechanical failures. I do push my abilites within reason.

As long as you fly 3 mistakes high, its not going to be the additional $20 or $30 bucks that should drive someone off the vibe unless you crash every weekend.

My two cents

I fly much less than you. Between 3 and 25 flights per week. Usually its more like 3 than 25 though

If you do up the math, it ends up the same for both. Since you're flying so much, your parts should wear out much faster no?

This proves the many different taste in people and it is just that they all fly and you can set them in many ways to fly different .Ive built two helis exactly the same (motor, pipe, electronics, etc.)and they both fly different take all info in and go with what you like you will be a lot happier in the end

I'm in that camp too, the 600N is ugly, the Vibe 50 is sexy. The canopy on the 600N is fat, and looks dumb, too bad it isn't nice and sleek like the electric 600.

I have to say that either are MUCH sexier then the GMP Cricket that my father had back in the day! I know that the 600n flies better too and I will go out on a limb and say that the Vibe 50 will as well.

I have been told that it's all in the setup and you can make them all fly the same,it's the pilot that makes the difference.

all the engines are about the same so it comes down to weight, the ligher heli gives more 3D bang. the rex is a very light machine.
