looks to me like he came off the rudder too soon
Actually he was NOT on the rudder until he tried to line it up with the runway on touchdown. What he needed to do was apply the rudder and opposite aileron at the same time to keep the lead side wing from being picked up and lifted thus causing the trailing wing to hit the runway. He eventually did this nearly getting the lead wingtip in the same predicament as the other, but manages to pull it out and abort.

Good save, but I would have found a different runway. Then again, my MAX demonstrated Xwind componant is 15 knots. I have done 20, but I would not do it again.

Wait..what!?!?! No, that can't be!

I also read that the plane was put in for maintenance.

With 130 or so passengers onboard, that would mean cleaning 130 + seats.

Here it is again on the 'tube, with a little more of the approach. Looks like the pilot remembered to yaw left with the rudder to minimize side-loading on the LG, but forgot to include right aileron at the same time to keep it level. D'oh!

Wow. If I was at a 45 degree angle to the runway on the approach, I think I'd just land across the dang thing!

One thing you'll never see is a taildragger landing in crap like that. It'll scare you to death when you slow down and lose tail control. Especially in a J3 Cub where the damn brakes are on your heals! Who thought of that? With a size 13 shoe it's a pain in the arse to hit the brakes while dancing on the rudder pedals.

Apparently, there's a forest to the right of the rwy....look at the left, you'll see another rwy crossing....that goes through the forest, creating a funnel for gusts.

this has been debated at length on a Professional Pilot's forum.
The Airbus has a "different" handling character built-in to it's software, making it counter-intuitive to control in a gust like that.
Pilot did a go-round and requested an alternative rwy, which was later the designated one.(slowed the airport's throughput, which was why they avoided offering it, initially.

A/c lost the winglet and screwed it up a bit, Aelron continued to work, otherwise outcome could have been different.
