also check that your tail push rod is free to move with no binding (take the rod off the servo and check that it moves freely)
check your tail blades are evenly tightend
also check your tail blade holder bearings, tail pitch system for binding/locking up (remove tail blades , replace bolts put a piece of string/rope through the holder and pull out wards , get some help to see if the tail pitch moves freely , this simulates the load when in flight)
check your tail blade bolt holes haven't worn oval
check your servo with the rod removed more the tail left/right with your finger againt the servo horn to act as a resistance to the movement see if you have any dead spots on the servo, don't put too much load on the servo as it may burn out if you do

also put some tin foil (baking foil) under the gyro plate on top of the servos the 401 doesn't like being sat on top of digital servos

hey guys i think i might have found the problem i found that the mixing arm that joins the two tail rods (the black plastic peace) the screw was almost all the way out just held in by the carbon frames. got lucky there lol and that caused alot of slop in the tail im positive that is the problem because it just started the last few flights so it backed out without me catching it i will get out tommarow and we will see how it goes and ill come back on and let u guys know thank you all for all your help.

Zack,

Just remember to set the Gyro up in rate mode first. I know yuou can get away with not doing this on some Heli's but maybe not the 600N.

Once you get it where it doesn't drift in rate mote then it's time to put in in HH and I bet it will hold nicely.

Hope this helps.

Hrosee is correct. I have a few 401's to prevent drifting set up in non hh mode and get it mechanicaly set so it wont wander. Do not use subtrim for this as that is detrimental to the whole process. Then switch to HH mode and you should be good to go. A wag could be the gain not set right or... on a Trex 600 with a Torque tube, it could also be a sign of a bent tube. You need to roll it on a flat surface (like glass) to see this. With the pins you cant just roll it, but if you place the ends off the corner of a flat counter you can do a quick and dirty test. It will be obvious. I know you wont want to go to the trouble of removing the tube probably but consider this as one of the last things to check. The material is pretty cheap/bad they make them from. It may have been straight and then bent some or it may have never been striaght to begin with (my case) and if you have to get a replacement, call the shop you buy it from and ask them to ensure you get a straight one as there are some bent ones on the shelf as well.
