Blade balancer Ok link to blade laminating guide
Hey Qurak Pilots!

Blink you were right, after a second try the blades do fit on the balancer, but I most say that the blades that came on the machine have a tighter fit that the replacements ones, go figure.

Oh! I have logged 20 + Battery’s on the original blades and I am a novice on SRB, how is this possible you might ask? Well my secret is not a secret as I already share with you is simple blade laminating. Here is the link to the online how to guide:
[url=http://www.rickyblazerc.com/]

I am also using Scotch Extreme 50.8mm X 7.62mm I like the hardness and also I think it has a griping effect on the wind that makes hovering and maneuvering more easily.

The fantastic thing about the Quark, which by the way seems to have a head look gyro? is this possible Jeff? Yesterday it hovered by itself, hands of the controls. Anyway the super thing is exactly that I don’t have to go outside to get the SRB experience. I don’t have time to do this, anyway I cold fly it outside but it would have to be trough the window of the 15 floor and maybe this is s little to much for now

Happy flying

I see MRC have now listed the USD price. In the manual it states that the XRB SkyRobo transmitter is 100% compatible with the Quark, so anyone with the SkyRobo can just buy the heli kit only - if available in NA. You can also use your FM Futaba, JR or Sanwa transmitter with this heli if you have the same channel.

Cheers

buster1, the control module that Hirobo makes is a lot more advanced than the BladeCX 4n1. It has a built in Gyro and many other adjustments that keep this heli flying perfect. Hirobo is out of Japan where the DSM technology isn't legal so they are not spending R&D money for our market. The lipo is very small and if more weight was added your flight time would diminish, and the heli wouldn't fly as well.
It kinda sucks that most people are switching over to DSM and if you want to try this heli you will have to go back to FM.

MRC has stated it will be available in the US this month and to contact your local hobby shop because their pricing may be cheaper.

Looks like a neat little model. $430 for it though!? Seems awfully high. I can see $250 (oh, sorry $249), but $430 puts it out of my budget.

Hey JoeR, I think the retail is supposed to be around $399.99. This may seem high but if you take into account that you will not have to tweak or upgrade anything to make this heli fly perfectly, then in the long run I think it is cheaper than a BladeCX2 or other small FP helis and flys awesome.

The internal Gyro in the control unit is not a heading hold gyro. Most small FP helis have a basic gyro but in this Quark the Gyro keeps the tail straight and there is no tail wag. There is also an adjustment pot in the control box to adjust the Gain if needed.

MRC is supposed to have them in stock very soon and then be distributed to the LHS.

http://www.modelrectifier.com/searc...ory=HELICOPTERS

I also did the main blade mod and it works 100%. I have the hit main blades against objects with no damage to them or the heli. I tried taping the tail blade but I didn't like the way the heli handled so I switched it back to stock.

ETA in the US????
Wish it was available in the US, seems to be everywhere else in the world. I hope my LHS rumor is incorrect, they say it will not reach our shores until mid to late April. Realistically, that more than likely means we'll see it in stateside hobby shops sometime in May, I hope no later than that!

April 13, Just picked mine up from my LHS, Colpar Hobbies Lakewood Co.
he had a couple of them, including one without a tx. They have a web site, I don't know if it on the website yet, but you can call him. I know they have a mail order service.
Havn't had a chance to fly it yet, but when I get home from work today.....
Now I need to know where I can pick some extra parts, the LHS doesn't have any yet, they do include several spare main and tail blades with the heli, but I would really like to get another battery.
