so Jimbo,
does this mean that the FB arms should be mounted just like the pic or only the upper pitch arms?

Hi Jimbo, Maybe you could post a picture showing just how the head should look and where the short/long mixing arms should be.

If it cannot fly on it's own, then I won't be much help....

I don`t have a digi camera, ..
Only the upper pitch arms look like the pic, the FB arms in the pic are backwards..
Man , this is getting confusing. Sorry guys...
I should have found a better picture...

Also , the shorter side of the pitch arm should be connected to the long rod to the swashplate... not to the FB see-saw...

Jimbo, I have been on to Harold and he does not seem to have very much.
I wanted the blue G10 frames with the rear servo option but he does not have ones that can use the lo rails . He only has the old style lo rails.
I also get the impression that he does not carry a large spares inventory.
I think a Trex500 is looking good, at least spares won't be a problem.
Its a pity that the EP8 has not take off , nice heli but does not have the backing or following.

If it cannot fly on it's own, then I won't be much help....

Jimbo, I have asked him and told him I wanted to order but he just said he had got the standard frames in GF and that he did not know when the other guy was going to cut some more of the ones I want.
As I'm in Australia I have to wait at least a week to get anythin that alone the wait for him to get them made. His supplier I think does it as a side line so Harold does not know when he will have them.
Make life very hard if I crash.
I like the EP8 but it seems to lack backup and support unlike other makes especially over here.

If it cannot fly on it's own, then I won't be much help....

SO i ll be crashing my Qj8 for a few more times befoer iam outta stock then its time for a new heli
BUT as always I will avoid everything with align on ./..unless its the 600N I might go for it (if price is right ) ..But really this year i want a RJX 50 ...

WOW , ammo is discontinuing the EP8 line? I hate to hear that , ammo is an awsome guy to know....
It looks like Harold is about the only one left on earth..
I talked with him the other day and he says he is going to get his stock and kits in order , also he had just got a shipment of kits and spare parts in from Japan. So he will be able to take care of everyone.. He is going to have Raptor parts also at a very good price. Check him out...

Hi Jimbo, I have just had an email from the supplier you mentioned over here and they seem to be discounting the EP8 series. I don't think they are canning it but I don't think they will restock the kits , thats just my gut feeling. I sent an email asking a few questions and will wait to see what response if any I get.
I am like a shag on a rock, only a few others I have found have the EP8 and most are trying to sell them. They are not getting very much response and I expect will have to give them away or just fly them till they drop.
I got mine when all the hype was on when they first came out, I won't do that again.
I think Q of J just did not follow up on their design to get it happening, the EX just did not hit the spot. Limited motor fitment etc.
I will probably do as Contact303 said and sell whats left for spares if I can find anyone who still has one.

Cheers

Clive

One other thing Jimbo, I have found that 99% of people who advertise stuff they want to sell on RR will not send to OZ even if I am willing to pay freight. They say its too much trouble, pity because I would have bought a lot of stuff EP8 and nitro. We are not talking thumping great packages.

Hi,

My solution was to keep another ep8ex kit on the shelf. Then I can order parts when I need them & hopfully not care how long it takes them to get here.

Good luck,

Dan
