1.1 volts per cell, or 1.0 at the lowest

Once in a while to check capacity but NiMH do not benefit from cycling and don't have a memory like nicads

Are you talking about cycling or conditioning a new pack? They don't need cycling but a stored/new pack needs to be conditioned.

I guess the claim for that NIMH doesnt have memory effect isnt completely true ?
I would at least test it some times by cycling it, to be shure about the capacity(i guess it decreases by time)...wouldnt be nice to crasch due to that.

By the way, my brother in law totalled his evo50 with a brand new Sanyo 3300mah rx-batt. He just charged it and flew 3½ flights..didnt cycle it before. it should be up to about 8flgihts when it works proper. Now he also knows that you have to cycle a new NIMH before it works as it should...

A proper formation charge is essential and yes they take a few cycles to come up to full capacity but they do not have memory like nicads.

Cuda,
I don't remember if it's ever been there, but I can't find anything on that website regarding conditioning NiMh packs.
