That guy's a legend. Last time I saw him was Spring '03. Good to see he's still hangin' out at Mallory Square for the Sunset Celebrations.

Bart, did you and your sweetie enjoy a beverage or two at Sloppy Joe's?

Yup, been there a couple times. I love that place. I love the way everyone in town calmly starts walking west towards the Square an hour or so before sunset. It's a magical place all day, but right there at sunset it is absolutely unforgettable. I sure hope you drove from the mainland rather than flew directly in. That's 100 miles of heaven right there, bud. 40+ bridges connecting 100+ islands.

Here's a YouTube search for Mallory Square sunset. Enjoy.

My wife and I drove down a couple years ago from Miami, much fun.

Mallory square was a blast. I missed this guy, but saw many others doing weird things. Cool-strange-hip place. Im an artist so I fit in just fine.

We went to the most un-accessable(sp) US National park too. Dry Tortugas. Amazing place.

We flew into Lauderdale and put 850 miles on the car,so yes we did a little bit of driving.Did the usual tourist stuff and some diving.
Didn't make it to Sloppy Joe's,but man they got a ton of bars on that strip.
I peeked into one,and it was all guys with their dogs.I thought it was a little strange.Took me a few minuites to figure it out
Went to Guy Harvey's island grill a couple of times.Outstanding.

Here's a cat hangin' out on the pier.

Never ceases to amaze me, people paint themselves up and stand their. Others give them cash...

They do that all over, I have seen guys painted silver in London and Gold in France, didn't see them in Key West when I went 6 years ago.

I know, I know, its "art".

There are people pan handling in NYC that live on the East side!! I saw that 20/20 too. Makes me think...hmmmm. Im only 90 mins away from Time Square. Im an artist too, so if I paint myself green will that work?

Key West is the last city in the USA that allows street performers. They all have permits to perform at Mallory Sq.

I don't know if it really is the only city, but thats what the performers told me. Pretty cool hangin down there talking with the locals.
