I just completed tearing down and rebuilding the head assembly of my first kit. The groove on the main main shaft is wider than the set screw that holds the lock ring beneath the swash. I set the ring with the set screw at the top of the groove. Is this an issue? Only thing I can think of is that at full negative pitch, the swash might hit the lock ring. Am I better off adjusting it before the thread lock cures. I failed to note its position before removing it in the first place. Not that I would trust the way it was. Some of the pre-assembled bits were well "loctited" but some had none. Thanks.

Now to make it fly like it does in my dreams!

bottom line, just make sure there is no up and down play in the main shaft and you are g2g. swash wont hit the lock ring at full neg. mine has plenty of room. i running +11 -11

Agreed. Ignore the grooves' shoulder and make sure the main shaft has very little to no up and down movement. The width of the groove must be to allow for variables in manufacturing tolerances.

Thanks Again. Another note: after centering the flybar rod end to end to the seesaw, it was about 1.6 mm longer per side than the manual said it should be. Prolly not an issue. One of the weights, however, was missing its through hole. That really irritated me.

I noticed the extra lenth in the flybar rods as well with my kit. I just made sure they were the same on both ends.
