I`m still learning the electric myself. I fly nitros. I want to get a few more flights on the 10 tooth pinion, then i`m going to the 11 tooth to bump headspeed up but it will affect flight time i believe. After that I will be changing motors, pinions, and esc. I have a scorpion motor(HK2221-08) and one of thier esc but the esc will not fit in the same spot as the stock esc. You can`t reprogram the stock esc but on the after market one you can. if this motor gives me to much headspeed i may have to limit my throttle curve say to 80-90 % instead of 100%. Also when changing pinions the gear mess has to be adjusted.

Hey guys, I have these landing skid struts. They're stainless, light weight, and have spring to them to absorb hard landings. The holes on these struts lined up with the orginals. I installed a longer bolt with a nut on the bottom. You can order just the struts, or the struts and skids together. The struts are 8.00 and the combo is 9.50.
They make an nice upgrade from the plastic ones that came with the 400. You can order them at http://www.cnchelicopter.com.

Hey rudderman,
I'll try to get a pic out later, but I really like these things. I know we talked about upgrading landing gear a while back, but after seeing these now I'm glad I ordered them. I think there as light, if not lighter than the plastic ones. I ordered the combo, and used the original skids instead. The 400 slids are longer, so I went that way. They look good on the bird, and the heli sits the same distance off the ground as before. They're about identical to the plastic ones, only metal.

tonyn,

sorry long time to get back to you....it`s not to hard. front servo is easy, just scrap around opening to relieve it some and slide servo in... back two takes some trimming on front side towards mainshaft.. then i take exacto knife and scrap around top, back and bottom to relieve it some....There are just three areas that need to be trimmed in the back. Hitech servo are like .92" and e-flights like .90".

On the swash mix.. My grips are flipped and my settings are +65 e, +65 a, and +65 p on one and the other is +65 e, +65 a, and +60 p w/ hitech servos. I would have to say you are right on switching all three with the grips not flipped. Just double check after doing it to verify.

Hey Torquestar,
Yea, that's the right link, and for the combo go to page 4. I should have mentioned that you click on the 400 class and the struts are on page 1 and the combo page 4.

tonyn,

I have two b400. I now flipped the grips on both and use Radix blades. It is like comparing night to day. It will wake the little bird up. When I shimmed my head I used a step washer on each side, with step part up against the o-rings. On some heads this may be to tight. You can buy the e-flight shim washer to use. I will never fly them again with a stock head setup.

I have never seen the CY ones. His website does not show them. You may be thinking of trueblood. I have never seen those either. If they fit the spindle and spot in head then they should work, even if they have to be trimmed down some.
