Stripper poles are good. Stripper poling is even better.

Short pile carpet is also good cuz stuff doesn't shoot away or get damaged as easily when dropped. Choose a color that's the color of the dye used in your brand of nitro. If you don't fly nitro, black goes best with stripper poles.

If you go with carpet, Consider carpet tiles. That way you
can replace them as needed (when you get solder, glue, locktite
stains) the pile is short so screws don't bounce far

I'm in the process of moving into a house I bought, my work room is 22 by 12, so I might be able to get all my planes in. I was hoping to have an area left open to hover in. I am looking at some foam floor covering (squares) to put on the concrete, make it a little warmer and softer on the feet. At some point I will have to get a mini fridge for it as well.
I do have a workshop area in the garage, so I'll likely keep saws and sanders out there. That will give me an excuse to replace the windows and heat the garage.

for the ultimate man room, you need:

Helis and planks
internet connection
DVD player
guns
alchohol
Your old Army Battle Rattle

and, possibly the most important,

Peanuts in the shell. Salted, of course.
