Hey yep # 2 Trex 600 to a 700 conversion, this one is alittle different than my first one
all stock except the frames are RotorWorkz HFX so I can use dirrect servo to swash and top motor mount so my 2 6s TP V2 5000s will fit . also another little mod from the old stock frames that was no good. Battery plate stiffener.
My setup on this one
Actro 32-3 , 17t pinion, Esc , dont know the name of it but its good for 12s
JR 8717s on 6 volts with CC bec and tp lipo rx pack
still trying to get a Spartan gyro
but if not the 611 combo with inline reg
bought some flexy Radix 690 blades since all my Vblades are 14mm instead of 12
Emulti gov
Boom came from Phil that has them special made, PM me if you want a boom , Ill give you his email.

Yeh! got a few months till thaw out , so Im in no hurry

Why would you want a 700N?

I have heard that the T700N should be out sometime this year but the T700EP won’t be out until sometime next year.

its a easy conversion , and it only takes about some 400 bucks to do in hard ware and use your 6s packs in series that you have now and a esc that can handle 12s
the best is use the rotorworkz HFX frames , that way you can mount the motor on top

I also have a boom from Phil, just have to make a couple of cuts. I am still trying to find the motor I want to use. So please let me know how the actro works out for you. I have to change my side frames from the rotorworkz HFE (was running 9650's) to the HFX (so I could run full size servos. Please let me know how you made the battery tray.

hey , well if you notice , its a G10 trex frame , just cut the front off of it, drilled a few holes and had some spacers laying around that fit,
about cutting your up some. it suppose to be a drop in kinda deal with a rappy 60 torque tube, dont get the 90 size torque tube, I had to cut my TT down to fit the boom.
I tried the 32-3 in vegas 2 weeks ago with my # 1 rex 700 with the HFE frames , YEH!! with 12S 4500s, it sure would throw down, a 17t pinion and go to town. the pinions big enough that it wont strip the gear, plus the weight is the other reason why its not stripping the gear. 9 1/2 lbs with the 12s 5000s

I was thinking about getting a 24-3 heli version motor. 10s long stick 3850s , but I thinking the pinion gear might be to small and strip the main gear.
need to look into that

Yeah I have a raptor 60 tt already. My boom doesn't have the little slot cut out to fit in the tail boom case. Did you also do the 4mm flybar mod? I know you had the avant programmable head on there before, what made change? Right now my 600 has 9650's on the swash, CC110hv, Neu 1910, and a logictec 6100GT combo running on 8s. I was waiting on my next crash to go ahead with the mod.

hey , yeh! no problem on the slot to cut , mine had it , but on my first 700 , had to cut it out , this heli here is going to have the stock metal head, I havent ran it on a 90 size bird yet , Phil has right at a year on his , a few tail gear strips , now he has a belt on there, Im staying away from belts , Alaska and belts dont like each other to well. plus , the power transision of the torque tube is way better.

hey , I ran the ork on my first trex 700 2 weeks ago in vegas, 1915 1.5 Y , KV 450 , 12s , it ran just a smuge lower than the actro 32-3 , not by much , but it ran hot , 180 F this ORK I have is the mid design , fan in it, but not the newer one with a huge fan on top. I would thing the 1912 would work great with a KV around 600, but theres a new Hacker motor coming that looks to be perfic for 10s and 12s , YEH! called the Turbine, looks like a jet motor on the top, 8 pole , outrunner inrunner, still confussed on what it actualy is till I read more on it or GET one

Hi guys,

just found this thread. I have managed to strip the front tail input gears, but thats running 14 degrees pitch, 105mm tails, and about 2000 headspeed. Main gear hasnt been a problem aslong as the meshing is tight.

Even though I did get heaps of 3d flights on the tail gears before they went, The other day I installed a '670' belt. had to cut the boom back about 10mm. Works very well, and should be a little safer.

Definately a cheaper and simpler option for those who want to try it.

cheers

I had the belts custom made overseas as they needed to be 5mm wide. Rappy 50 belts are too wide, not sure about the others.

Hey Phil,

Do you have any problems with the belts slapping inside the boom? If we wanted to go that route were did you get the belt from or can we just get them from you? Also what motor are you running now?

Misskimo,
I read in another forum that the new Scorpion 4025-10 and 4025-12 runs great in the joker. I might have to check that out.

Hi Furron,

Im not sure about the belt slapping in the boom, I guess it probably would at some stage, the normal trex 600 does it, but you can only hear it with the alum boom. Since we are using CF booms, i cant hear it.

im still using the tiny Zpower z50 motor, as the shafts in the Z70s were not big enough. Still good power and flight time though for a cheap motor.

I should be able to get more belts, but would need to order them and could take a few weeks.

Ok thanks again Phil.

Are you running 12s or are you still running 10S? Let me know when you order some belts, I will buy some from you.

I was lookin around a bit and started wondering about using a belt from another machine. Thus in the little travelin I did I ran across Ergo 60 belts. Since I havent had one whats the chances that they would have the right pitch and width? Anyone know? Any other ideas?

Just thinkin there has to be a way without special ordering or havin them made.
