I am the new owner of a 600n pro (and lovin it).
IM trying to decide If I want to put the frame braces on right now,or If I should wait and try to repair the frames with them later on down the road..IM going to double up the bottem plate right off the bat though.Anyways Any opinions will be appreciated,Thanks

I have had 2 HARD meetings with the ground and no frame damage - I have always used the braces and feel the frames could well have been damaged without them. Why wait???

if your speaking of the Align carbon frame braces you should put them on now. They are designed to help prevent the main frames from breaking.

suprisngly the frames hold up well in most crashes. I only killed one because of the headertank (yeah Ink, I know...) the metal support just punched a hole in the side. I'm probably going to make a break away tab for it

Thanks guys,I understand that they are made to help reduce the chance of frame damage, but I was thinking in this point of view.

the braces are used to help beef up the weaker parts of the frame right,so if I put them on and then I break the frames all hope is lost. But if I leave the weak spots weak they will most likly break there in a crash and then rather than buying new frames I could just repair them with the braces?

No I dont see your logic

If you put them on and they save your frame, you save the time and money to fix that, Pays for itself. If my frame cracked, I would replace it not repair it. (just me I guess)

if using a dx7 when you bind the radio and rx it sets the fail safe to low stick.

try rebinding it with the throttle stick in low position.

That was a good one, Juan.

Tank,
I tried it that way. It didn't work. On the front side, the screw would vibrate out, and the landing skid would hang down during flight. And on the back side, the same thing with the landing skids, and the tail boom support would pull out of the ends.

Put them on now.

Hell... I can fix that.
Uh oh..
Nope.
It's ***ked!!!

I added mine after the build. It wasn't difficult at all. just put them on for a just in case and why not type of thing. I don't try to save weight on mine, unless you tie a brick to it, You cant shave enough off to make a difference anyway.

thanks guys,I guess I gotta explain my logic again because I think it was mis-understood,anyways what i ment was:

(when I say crash I dont mean a bad auto I mean a nasty crash),ok say I have a crash that would break the frames WITH the braces on,thats it game over time for new frames right?...but if I have had that same crash w/o the braces the frames will most likly break in the same spot, and then I could repair the frames with the braces, and get one more crash out of them....

ok thats if the crash was bad enough to take out the frames WITH the braces, which resulted in repaired frames rather than trashed..heres example #2

the crash is bad enough to break the frames W/O the braces but not bad enough to break them WITH the braces.......ok so now they are broken and then I repair them with the braces..... that was example 2 which resulted in repaired frames, although they would have been fine with the braces,I didnt loose anything by not putting them on...

Im trying to explain the best I can,(please forgive)...hopefully I explained it a little better this time..

george0079 ,I dont quite understand,What didnt work?are you talking about doubleing up the bottom plate?Or repairing the frames?

Tank,
I think you're worrying too much about nothing.......

Put the braces on now and be done with it. All of this "guesstimating" what will break , when and how is just silly.....there is just no way to know.

With the braces on to begin with, you have the best of both worlds and in the long run, less down time due to unnecessary repairs......
