On my 600n I was planning to put Futaba S3151 On my throttle and Futaba S9253(already have that one) for my rudder, I was recommended 9252's for my aileron , elevator and pitch. I dont want overkill and I dont want to waste my money, is this what I need to get or not?? Cheaper suggestions?

Cheaper?
I dont think its a good idea to put low budget cheap servos on cyclic, if high quality servos are to expensive for you to buy right now just hold out and save your money till you can afford reputable high quality cyclic servos. As for my recommendations I am using the new Futaba BLS451's They make great power, very fast, tough as nails and are very easy on energy consumption, They are the latest and greatest servo from Futaba and IMO are very much worth there $100 each price tag.....

9252's are a very well proven reliable servo, you could go cheaper but in the long run you will probably end up upgrading to a better servo later on, so you may as well go the 9252 route now, imho.
9252's are not an overkill, but to me a sensible option for the Trex600.

We all used to put S9252 on the cyclic of 90's
they did the job well so they are very viable for the 600N
They are not over kill - they have been a bread and butter servo for years
Once you start going cheaper than S9252 ($68 USD) it's gets ugly

go with the 9252. Just make sure they are from the same batch and all new. You will thank me after setting up the swash

There is absolutely no need to go for high end servos or BLS if you don't want/need a 3D killer machine. I did have a pleasant experience after crashing with m 9351's (metal geared, high torque). The servos are so strong that most servo wheels just exploded on impact yet none of the servo gears suffered. On the 9252 you will probably strip some gears when you crash but they only cost like $8 to replace.

Besides, from what I've seen at my field, one knock and the BLS go crazy. 3 have already been sent to warrranty repair. They seem not able to find center anymore.

9452s are 75 each, for the 6 dollar difference between the 9252s I'd rather have those but the 9252's are a very solid choice.

Good quality servos (one that center well and have hi torque numbers) are a requirement of Cyclics on CCPM setup. Oh sure you can fly with non digitals or cheap digitals but your swash will not be as accurate. It is also important to have three from the same batch just to be sure they match each other. (year to year or sometimes month to month may have slight differences in them)

Where it will work with less capable servos, it wont work as well and if your tourque numbers are under 80 I wouldnt want them for any heli 50 or better.

Youll buy twice is you dont buy the right ones now, but if its all you can afford, so be it. It will fly on less.
