Wow I guess your lucky. Good that you let us know so we are aware of that chance. I usually leave my pin in until I get it home from the field then disconnect the battery until I head back to the field. Might change that habit a bit now.

The problem comes in when you run a setup like a DX7 where with no signal the swashplate is driven to a failsafe position with the blades locked back. This puts a high amp current draw on the servos which smokes them.

The moral of the story is that if you are transporting your heli using a pin flag, disconnect the battery. This is good advice at home too.

Im convinced. Just got an x9303 and its pretty new to me, I see how that could happen on the spread spectrum, over the 72mHz

While failures may not be frequent, switches that fail to the OFF position aren't desirable. I take comfort in have a switch that fails to ON if the circuit breaks somehow. Then to turn it off you close the circuit via a switch. Example: the Fromeco Arizona regulator.

Dont use a switch in the system,14-16 AWG wiring,plug in at the field,unplug it and go home!One less thing to worry about going wrong! (Thanx inkspot)
