HEY GUYS , Getting a GSR 260 and cannot decide on a servo for the cyclics . I have always been a favorite of the Hitec 6975's but figured I ask you guys first as I am going to use this for Ap and did'nt think that servo speed would be a big concern,as the torq would be. this is a CCPM bird . Also would I need metal gears? I have always used the hitec Karbonite geartrain type of servo's without any problems.
Thanks and appreciate your suggestions as this My first GASSER

8311 seem pretty popular.. I have 8311 on cyclic.. and 8231 for my throttle... I know there are others with the GSR that run them.. I think John at Airfoilavitaion recommends them.

There are plenty of other choices of course, but I know you can't go wrong with the 8311...

I forget exactly, buty I think you can swap out the gears with another servo ( I think Curtis Youngblood goess with the 8311 with the swapped gears) and even get the speed up.. not necessary for a GSR ... I would guess it is for AP... You won't be doin 3D I hope... if so.. you bought the wrong heli!

Been Flying 8231's for over 550 logged flights on two GSR's, no problems so far.... well that's not true..... I had one servos pot start to go bad, the servo did not respond to the stick movement correctly, sort of lagged behind just a tad, Would not have caused a crash, but anyway, sent them back to JR (3 year warranty) they replaced them!
I fly 8231's on my Sylphide ship as well, great hovering servos, very precise.

Also, Please don't buy used servos to put in an AP ship!!!!
(assuming they are used?)
