I was wondering on people opinions of failsafe or hold setting?

I currently use the hold function on all helis/channels as recommended by the hobby shop man.

It is a good idea or should I set the thr channel to failsafe of 0 only? Other wise if there was a problem the heli would keep flying away. I have since set it for the thr to hold it seems the safest?

If power to the receiver is lost would all the servos keep the current position and the motor would also cut as the ESC has no input??? I'm using a JR 2720 36mhz radio

everything on hold, throttle to idle (cut in electric helis), disable governor (or esc) and most importantly, set rudder to 50%.

If you happen to have a lockout during a pirouette, you will thank me later.

Ive set everything to hold and thr on 0. I only have electric helis.
Its a SPCM JR receiver.

What if receiver power dies will that cut the thr for the ESC regardless of failsafe or hold?

Sorry, don't know. On an IC heli you're screwed.

I do not use hold on fail safe ( loose signal )If you do not get signal back and you are at high stick it will hold and fly away I set fail safe on throttle only ,I let go to idle ( nitro )or low stick that way if I get signal back I can still fly out to land or heli hits ground not a good thing but at least I can get it back
