so 76mech,
Tell us what is your opinion of the rototechs as opposed to the Radix?

What are the flight differences

I only have about 20 flights on the R/T's, so its still up in the air.

R/T's:
- Quicker cyclic response
- seem to bite more than the radix, and have a bit more punch when the collective is loaded up and then you pop out of it.
- Don't auto as well. I seem to have to add a few more degrees of negative during the auto to keep up the H/S.
- better visibility, I can see the yellow disc alot better than the white, especially on an overcast day. (Considering Im half blind!)

Radix:
- Obviously auto alot better.
- Cost less

Wow good to get your opinion. Yellow was better visability, I am pleased to hear that as I thought the White would be more visable yet I have always prefered black carbon colored blades, but miss the visability of white one.

Don't get me wrong, the Radix were easy to see with the white tips also. But, I can see the yellow against the black alot better! When I fly, I look at the whole heli. In some instances I look at the skids, to keep level. Other instances I look at the rotor disc to see which way its pitched. So having some color on there really helps!

One more thing I noticed. When I ran the Radix, I used to feel comfortable with the power and feel of the heli at 2200rpm. When I switched to the R/T's I felt the same feel of the heli, but at 2150rpms. Guess what I am saying is the R/T's don't need to spin as fast as the Radix to get the same pop.

In your case it looks good, because you have some yellow on your canopy.

they look cool but for $1.49 and some time you can have any color you want. RIT dye does the job just fine. mine are orange they were alot cheaper than new ones.

One thing with rit dye tho is that it tends to change colors over time due to the sun, I had a blue dye job turn purple after a few weekends of flying, also, Rit dye only dyes about a 1/64 of an inch in, so it can be scrathed off fairly easy. I personally like the aligns better because they do not have the above issues.

This pic was before the sun....

But Honey, I can't live with just stock.....

I had the white ones on there for sometime and never really cared about the color. Once I saw the colored skids, it was a quick decision to make. I never really both with dye, although its cheap and easy, I just never cared to do it!

Ozy, those blue/purple skids look cool, I like em!

superyan711, orange look tough with that canopy, sweet!

Looks like the orange will also stand out in the sunlight very well.
