9252's on 5.8V???
I know this has been a great debate from alot of people but can 9252's on cyclic handle 5.8V? I have the 5.1 stepdown on the tail and that cannot be used to stepdown the whole system correct? Thanks for the replies.

9252s on 6v are ok. Many in our club have been running these guys on 6v without issues for quite a while.

With regard to the stepdown on your tail - Normally this is just a simple diode placed in series with the power lead to the tail servo. Normally only one servo is driven off the stepdown.

Some onboard regulators have specific lower voltage outputs just for the tail servo - Again these are designed to drive just the one tail servo.

Yea they will run fine at regulated 5.8, its the unregulated 5 cell packs they don't like.

Just get a step down from Align and run it between the gyro and the tail servo.

PS, I grew up in Fort Washington.

they will work fine as long as you don't put one of those on throttle with an agressive governor... its as bad as too much voltage on the tail.

I've been running 5.74V on 9252 (on swash) for several years now without a problem.

You mean a 4cell pack. A 5 cell pack will be much higher fully charged.
