Main Shaft Insertion
This is a nifty problem...can't get the main rotor shaft inserted through the L0360 bearings in the body. Not even close. Was thinking of giving the shaft some time in the freezer to maybe shrink the diameter .0002" or so, but I wouldn't be able to remove the shaft later w/o putting the whole model in the freezer. Need another idea. I should add, I have a hollow main shaft off a Hornet 1 with an OD of 2.96mm which slides easily through the bearings. The solid shaft that came with the X3D kit is 2.98mm.

Thanks, Dave

Ok, all fixed. Turned out the end of the shaft where the grub screw flat is machined, and up from there ~1" was maybe .0001" wider. I sanded this area with some 400 grit and all is well. It is a gentle press fit.
