Warp Speed on Gears
Just unpacking a new 450 SA and turning the main gear by hand is very hard. The lower tail drive gear is quite warped. Is the solution to upgrade to the blue gears? Do both have to be blue?

ive never had a problem with the blue gears. you you will need to get the v2 gear kit that includes the one-way hub and new gears.Constantly testing the Laws of Physics

V2 Gears
Are the V2 gears the blue ones? Are they a lot stiffer?

The blue gears are a different gear ratio too. They will slow down the tail rotor so you can run a higher headspeed... If your just sport flying stick with the white gears until you need to replace them then decide if you really need to run a higher headspeed or not...Tom..... No "D" flying....

Ok. Thanks for letting me know. Not 3D here. Maybe I should just run
the gears and see if the " bite" wears in a bit? If they are going to grind out, should do it before hovering?

Set your gear lash on the tightest point, or it will cause tail wag and premature bearing failure.

I don't think anyone has understood this yet. It is the mesh between the lower drive gear and the tailbelt output gear(small one). I don't believe this is adjustable?

It will work well, don't worry mon! When you need to buy new gears get the latest gear/hub thing from Align.Ignorance is the absence of facts.Stupid is lacking the intellectual capacity to comprehend the fact

No, the white gears that come with the 450SA have the same ratio as the blue V2 gears. Don't confuse the white gears that come on the 450SA with the OLD, OLD white gears that used to come on the original 450 several years ago. Can you even get the old gears anymore???
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Yeah

Thats what I thought too. The blue were just better machined gears with the same ratio? I guess not too many T Rex flyers out there any more with all the no name brands.
