Hey Tony.

I bought a 770 for my 450 V2 last summer and tried everything to get rid of the bounce back. If you decreased the gain enough to stop it, it didn't hold. Leaving some of the bounce back in, it broke a tail belt. I could NOT get the 770 to work successfully on my 450 using a 9650, and then a 3400G servo. So the 770 spent the rest of last flying season on the shelf.

Last month I picked up a 9257 and put the 770 back in the rex for one more try. FINALLY ! With the 9257, I turned the gain up until I just get an occasional 'hunt' in a hover. The piros now stop when I center the stick and it holds well. I'm using the furthest in hole on the smallest 'X' style futaba servo wheel. Headspeed around 3K, gyro travel adjust at full. I'm not getting the physical limit of tail slider movement both ways, but it's balanced and the rod is 90 degrees to the servo at neutral ( trimmed at hover in rate mode ). Piros are fast enough ( I still have more rate available if I want them faster ) and are fairly consistent in FFF.

fast faller, according to the directions that come with the 770 you're supposed to put the end points at 150 and use dual rate to slow the piro. Have you tried that. The 770 was working perfectly on my 450 set up that way and now on my 500.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

I think the bounce back might be caused by the tail control rod flexing on the fast input, and then straitening back out.

OK so I put the end points back up and put d/r on the rudder channel to 70% tried it and it was still shaking so I went down to 60% but no luck is there a limit to how far down I can take the d/r?

Hey guys I'm trying to get a 770T and a s9254 working on my lepton.
The problem I'm having is when it's almost ready to lift off the tail shakes violently back and forth, I have had this running sweet with a 401 and 9254 before switching. My settings are as follows

Dx7
30% gain
60% expo
90% end points

As I take the end points lower it is longer before it comes in but it is consistant in that it is either as you take off or when you are an inch off the ground. I've taken it all the way back to 30% end point and I'm thinking something must be wrong I shouldn't be this low. Help?

30% gain. Are you setting in nomal mode?
Try this
Dx7
60% gain then go up
70% DR
70% expo
150% end points

Try a shortter servo arm.
