Hi

I just received and put JR770 on my V2. It is not that hard to set up. took me only 15 min to set it up. I love it. I am thinking about selling my 401 and buy JR770 for my other SE. I am learning to fly backward in circle on simulator now. Hope someday will fly my V2 fast backward on the field.

What do you think? JR770 will hold better than 401 in flying fast backward rignt?
thanks

Tony_tuong what is your setup for the JR770 and servo please on the Trex450?
Tony could you give us your set up on the Trex450 please? How far out on servo arm did you place the ball? What ATV setting on the Rudder? What Expo setting on the rudder? What gain setting on which radio? I have this combo but havn't used it yet on anything. I have JR3400 tail servo and of course the JR8900 that came with the Gyro Combo but that is for larger machines of course.

Thanks for the heads up,
Tom

I just flew V2 again. I think I am in love with this 770 Gyro

Rightnow, I have 401 and 9650 on my Trex 500. I will get rid of this and put Jr770+JR8900 (245$) or 611+9256(330$)

Which one is beter? Is it worth to get 611?

Thanks

thats wierd. I have a 770 on my 600N and it flies great. My friend at the field saw it and liked it so he got one and put it on his 450. He had a wierd problem tho. If he did a quick tail movement..when he stopped the tail would swing back alot...almost as if it hit a spring and it bounced the tail back alot. I thought it was wierd. We tried adjust everything.. atv, expo, d/r, gain. It still did the same thing. That was a while ago. About 2 weeks ago, I had another 770 and I put that on my 450. Same thing happened on mine. Exactly the same. I went back to my 401 since then. But my 600N still flies good with the 770

Have you flown a 611??
Also another mis conception about the 611 is that it can use only one servo. This is entirely not true. There is a hidden menu that allows you to change the pulse width from a narrow servo to a wide one. We have VERY succesfully run a hitec 6965 servo on the 611. IMHO, the 611 is the best gyro out there, why do you think EVERYONE compares whatever gyro they run to it..Although, the spartan and solid-g are right there with it. And yes it may be expensive, but you DO GET what you pay for..

baddraptor,

Beside the advantge above,Does 611 have any other performance advantages over JR770?

Thanks

IMHO the 611 is easier to program and holds better. I haven't tried the Jr gyro, but every week I see reports on how to get it to perform and how do I set it up. I never see that for the 611, that should tell you something. The 611 holds like a rock, moves only when you tell it too. I think the piro rates are more consistent and is less likely to drift (which is an inherit trait of jr gyros).

I'm flying the 7703D gyro with 3400 on the tail on my TRex 500 and got similar problems with the tail. I lowered the gain and this solved the problem. The gain is a lot lower than a Futaba gyro, I've found. However, even with a lower gain, the tail seems to hold very well. Just dial down your gain until the tail stops twitching when stopping fast.

Hey guys I'm trying to get a 770T and a s9254 working on my lepton.
The problem I'm having is when it's almost ready to lift off the tail shakes violently back and forth, I have had this running sweet with a 401 and 9254 before switching. My settings are as follows

Dx7
30% gain
60% expo
90% end points

As I take the end points lower it is longer before it comes in but it is consistant in that it is either as you take off or when you are an inch off the ground. I've taken it all the way back to 30% end point and I'm thinking something must be wrong I shouldn't be this low. Help?

I think the 770 is almost as good as a 611 but not quite because piros are not as consistant, but the spartan 760 outperforms them both.

note I have never had a 770 or a 611 but I do have a spartan. I am basing that off of everything I have heard here on RR, and my own experiences with my spartan.

600N 55HZ/SAB-55 600V's
700N 91HZ/SB-20 690V2 V's
90SG 91HZ/SB-20 710V2 V's
