Just got a bunch of new goodies yesterday from Amainhobbies. One of these was a SGproducts, as in Scott Gray products, ReactorX Regulator. I replaced my Align 2 into 1 regulator with the ReactorX in my T-rex 600N using Futaba BLS451 collective servos and took it for a spin today.
Wow, what a difference in collective authority. This thing really rocks! I never would have believed there was this much untapped power in my servos. Tic-tocs are amazingly crisp.
The Reactor includes a Deans ultra connector for connection with a 7.4V lipo battery (in this case an Electrifly 3200MAh). Current to the three collective servos is feed directly from the Reactor without going through the RX power bus. The Reactor is rated at a continuous 10 Amp. The 451's really responded well to the extra available current. The ReactorX's collective voltage output is switchable from 6.0 to 6.8V. I ran it on 6.8V. The gyro/tail servo output is 5.2V, so no step down is needed.
I was very inpressed with the ReactorX so far. Does anyone else have any experience with this device? 1
