Has anybody tried the Scorpion 1900kv with FP 6S 2500mah packs? Should I try it with 12t pinion and a TC of flat 85%? Got results out there? Motor is on its way so I'd like to get an idea af what I'm looking at. I also fly it with 2 TP 2200mah V2's with TC flat 90% it it flys nice and solid.

I have read this motor was designed for 5s and 14t-15t pinion. Can I use my current 6s set-up with a 12t pinion? Any info would be great.

The 1900kv was developed for 5S.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Yeah, this motor is meant for 5s. I'm running the 1600 on my 500 with a 15T pinion and 85% throttle curve.

I am actually running 6s on it. Just took it up for a lap and the climb-out is quick. I flew for about 3 mins and landed her. Battery was warm to the touch and motor was not even hot! Put back 1223mah into the FP2500 6s. Going to try some mild 3d next time out and see what shakes out.

Finally got to take the 500 up for some mild 3D with the new Scorpion motor at 85% flat TC. Flew 3 mins 47 secs and landed her. Battery was a bit warm and motor was not even warm! Ran 6s 12t and put back 1348mah back into the 2500mah lipo. Climbout was effortless. This thing is efficient and ballistic...Going to try 41/2 mins with a little more aggressive flying tomorrow and see what happens. So far it appears to be an awesome set-up.

Fly hard, have fun and take it home in one piece...

I actually ordered it direct from http://www.innov8tivedesigns.com. I also got the 6 & 8 motors for the 450. I'm still dialing in the 6. I tell you my 500 is a screamer now and yet has retained its stability and controlled feel. I flew it in a 15-20 mph wind gusts today and got those results. Awesome fun...

I am afraid it is so. Result of a broken linkage and a basketball pole bounce off with my 600. Thankfully it was only my hand and not my neck! It took less than a month of healing and exercise to get back up in the air. Now at a little over 2 months (and a lot of faith)I am back flying smooth and having fun at it.

Fly hard, have fun and take it home in one piece...
