The JR 8717 is only pulling about 2 amps under extreme 3D (So I've read) and they are about the most power hungry servo that I know of. The BLS451 is supposed to draw less than that.

So, even at 1.5 amps times 3 for the cyclic, is only 4.5 amps. Plus throttle and tail servo..... You should be fine.

Hell... I can fix that.

I am running the Align 1900Mah Lipo and I get 5 HARD flights. Then I switch birds. Honestly how many flights do you plan on in a day? The average battery consumption for me is around 325mah per flight.

Please be aware that if you are using a Spektrum receiver the Castle Creations 10 amp BEC, you run the risk of your helicopter locking up in flight and potentially crashing due to a receiver brown-out.

The Castle Creations BEC does not handle high load servos very well and drops the voltage too much. The best way to test this on the bench is to move both sticks very fast and see if your receiver resets.

I know for sure that the Castle BEC could not handle JR8717 cyclic servos a little while ago. Maybe they fixed the problem by now but I personally wouldn't risk it.

The Align 2-in-1 regulator holds up well. If you want something smaller or don't need the autoglow, you can use their regular 6A BEC.

The Align regulators put out a higher voltage (~5.7 volts) so make sure you have a voltage drop down connector on your tail servo and also your throttle servo since you are using a 9254.

If your servos are drawing high amperage, your concern is the wiring between the RX&the regulator! 14-16 AWG wiring withn deans or EC3 connectors to be safe. Lew

I have noticed a significant drop in range when using the CC BEC with a 9303 on 72Mhz. So much so that I probably won't use it again.

to make it easy you should get a align 2 in 1 reg with align 1900 lipoly battery and 2 stepdowns one for the 9254 and one for the 9256 servo, run the 451's on the 5.8v from the reg.

Same problem here with the CC BEC. It causes my Spektrum 9000 to reset when you load the servos enough. I wouldn't trust it.
