It would be good for making an economy helicopter for long slow flights. Put in some 5% or 10% fuel and that thing would probably fly for 30-45 minutes.

That would be a great AP setup.

Hi ,

I'm still puzzle, why others 30 size model such as T-rex500 , Century Swift etc flies much better for 3D such as 50 and 90 size.

Is it because of power to weight ratio? Or it has more headspeed (2100 to 2200 headspeed)?

Yes, the Swift is a couple of pounds lighter than a Raptor 30. If you want good 3D upgrade to a Titan (boom, belt, and blades) with the new TT 53 engine.

Yep the 500 size electrics have a better power to weight ratio, the bad news is they can't keep that balistic performance up for very long.

Yes, the Swift is a couple of pounds lighter than a Raptor 30. If you want good 3D upgrade to a Titan (boom, belt, and blades) with the new TT 53 engine.
No worries, I've have Raptor 50(Kasama Head) with Hyper 50 and Hatori 3D pipe and T-rex 600N G10 with Hyper 50 and Hatori 3D pipe.

I'm experiment my other Rap 30 with 8.73 gearing, 550 SAB blade and Tj Pro set to 2100 Headspeed. It's was ready to test but due to bad weather (raining) it's still grounded.

BTW, converting to ordinary 50 tailboom to Titan tailboom is a bad idea for me. This is because it will make Raptor Titan tail heavy. To make good CG you need to add weight infront either using larger 3 cell lipos for the regulator or etc . At the end it make Raptor 50 heavier.

Just remember that T-rex 600N are more lighter that Raptor 50 Titan.

Umm, the "500" in the T-rex500 doesn't refer to main blade length, it refers to the motor type (a 500). It uses 425mm main blades, and a 30-size nitro heli uses 550mm main blades, so the sizes are quite different and you can't really do a comparison (T-rex600 vs 50 size nitro, yes, same size/blades, but not this). Nitros and electrics are very different beasts to begin with... With electrics, you have a huge variety of motors, ESCs, and batteries to mix and match, giving various results, from awesome power/low runtime, to long runtime/little power. With nitros, the choice is much less, and results are normally reliable power with good runtime.
