I have a zenoah g260rc and I am using the cmr7h Ngk spark plug. I've never worried about the plug gap, but reading this forum I've started to worry

I've been reading FCM recommending a 0.020" gap. How much is this in milimeters? The plugs that I have are all about 1mm gap. I guess 0.020" is 0.5mm? Is this critical? Should I reduce the gap if everything semms ok? Will I notice a power increase?

EDIT: My gap is about 0.7mm more or less

I've never changed it
As it comes out of the box its pretty ideal to where it needs to be. If the plug gets old and I take it out to brush it clean with a wire brush I usually put a feeler guage into the slot in and out to clean out the gap and any carbon in there.

Someone else have other input let us know!
