Looks like there is a pretty heavy grease or petroleum jelly on the main shaft.
I've always used a clean, lube and protect heavy gun oil on almost everything on my CX2. Works great and safe on plastics.

Think that would be OK or does it have to be grease?
For those of you that have replaced the main shaft, what did you use?

Thanks.
