It better be better quality than what nasa would put out, with the length of the wait they are putting people through.

i disagree i have both, just finished my stratus and although the stratus has a nicer tail and is much more intricate build. the EFX quality is very good, the machine work on the programmable head is very nice and precise.

with both machines setting next to each other all you see is two top quality heli's

now if they would just fly like the synergy

The Aurora's quality is second to none.. I've had Min Air, Synergy Raptor, align and so on... And also have an Aurora, the craftsmanship is beautiful! Great attention to quality and detail by Augusto! Packaging is out of this world also.

My 2 cents.........

Cy

There were many at Ircha and I think Augusto's websites have lots of info for the general public

When it arrives you'll be happy! Until then just live life, no point in stressing!

I do have both side by side. In fact I have my Hirobo Eagle 3, Xcell Tempest FAI, and my broken POS Avant EFX next to each other. I can tell you first hand that there is no comparison in quality between the Avant and the others. I'll take it one step further. I have compare my other heli's to an AURORA, pre-productionfrom our local sponserd pilot, and it is still a POS not worth the money you spend for it.

The Avant has such poor quality frames and parts that I can't even compare it to my xspec, evo 90 , or evo 50. All the holes are mis-aligned, clearences and tolerences are off. For those that say this might be a localized occurance that there are always a few sub standard parts that get out into the general publics hands, it maybe, but just try and call Avant RC and get a responce from them. I know I can call MRC and or Minature and get an answer right away.

Again, just my opinion, based on my first hand observations.

Good points. I know if I go with a Synergy that they will only be a phone call away if I need them. I think Augusto should pay attention to his potential customer base, or he will have none left.

the carbon frames on the Avant EFX seem to me to be as nice or nicer than the stratus frames. the carbon itself is flawless
All the holes are mis-aligned, clearences and tolerences are off.
well i don't know what you did but mother earth has made me rebuild mine a couple of times and i have never experienced anything like you describe.
I can't even compare it to my xspec, evo 90 , or evo 50.
Just so you know the Evo 50-90 have plastic frames i don't even think the two can be compared.

the Avant EFX will fly circles around an evo 50-90 or x-spec just in my opinion

if you are looking for bad things to say about any company if you look hard enough you will find something. I know for a fact that if you have a real problem and are not bashing them they respond to email in a very professional way.

as for that I might buy an aurora some day but after seeing the synergy in person and finding out my LHS carrying parts for it, it just might be my next 90

I know I have them both, just a poor attempt at sarcasm.

The ground didn't offset the bolt holes on the frame. Clearances for the gears and main shaft were not correct from factory. I had to enlarge them to align everything properly. Once aligned it flew correctly. I could not justify the fact that it cost so much to build and then get second quality parts as if they were made by some overthe pond company like ___________. I still have the EFX. I just didn't care and used it as my everyday beater until it went in due to a loose screw. I never repaired it nor will I buy anything from any company that I cannot call directly. I have not bashed them nor did I express anything that was not my opinion based on my personal experience. It was and is impossible to get a hold of them. Email and forums are not proper communication tools for customer service. They are the cheap alternative that has apeared in an attempt to curb costs but do not work.

I agree that if my LHS had part support for it I might, but right now the only parts support I get locally is Hirobo. A person to person parts support is second to none but I understand that it is not always available. Luckily Minature is not far away, and I can get UPS ground from them in one day.

Although I am far from a CX fan, I have to say that my Avant FX flies like a rocket and the quality is very good. Carbon frames are thick and flawless like balsa said. Now where rhazbun has a point is that there is NO PHONE NUMBER for Avant to call for help and they rarely if ever return emails. If you want any service at all better look elsewhere.

I was Spektrum when Spektrum wasn't cool

not to name names but I know of quite a few heli oriented businesses that only operate by email.

but not having a Phone # sucks. I always liked calling MA when i had a prob. there just good people. guess its a quality most want in a company but it is by no means imperative to have a "dedicated help line"

I think he meant a Hirobo. Think you are getting 3DM and another event confused
