e620SE

-1912-1.5Y on 10T
-CC 85HV
-TrueRC 12S 4000mAh
-Aerospire egov
-XPS rx
-V-Bar flybarless stabilisation
-S9252s on clyclic
-BLS251 on tail
-UBERBEC
-V-blades TST 620mm
-NHP 95mm tail blades
-140degree swash
-Many weight saving mods

AUW: 3535g (7.79lb)
HS: 1800rpm

I geared toward efficiency, the 1912-1.5Y is very efficient, the V-bar also help alot and so does the Vs TST (or so they claim).
Should yied over 10mins of medium 3D flying.

What will be yours?

My first impression was that the E620 was overweight until I got a T-Rex 600. With the same power system the E620 is about the same weight. A T-Rex works best with a light weight power systems like the stock 6s or a 8s setup. We are all installing crazy high 10s and 12s power systems making the E620 heavier.

Seams like the E620 flies best with lots of power and the weight does not matter that much. The T-Rex 600 flies best if you keep it light with slightly less power. My high powered E620 is definitely my choice for those windy days.

I have noticed that 620mm blades make a big difference in E620 performance. Most of the new 610 and 620 blades also have a wider chord so you get more lifting power.

This is my flybarless head, still need to trim the excess.

My BLS251 mounted on the boom.

Carbon rods replace steel.

Naked XPS rx with wire wrap*

**My wire wrap consist of 26awg silver plated wires installed with a special tool that tightly wind the wires on the pins.

The guy wires are not installed yet, I tried with 1mm steel cables and got good results. Final setup will be 2mm carbon rods, the steel cables still stretched a bit. To give you an idea, there will be two rod installed right where the braces normaly are and two more comming from the canopy mounting lugs(reinforced). Tension is applied, so the rods are constantly pulling the boom straight.

I just installed the Vs and they are 28g lighter than the NHP, that bring me to 3507g with a 12S 4000mAh or 3757g with a 12S 5000mah. 12S 5000mAh is the biggest battery that can be used as it fit very snugly in the battery bay. Such pack should give me 12mins flight time with my current setup.

Definitely, I flew mine a 4000g and it still was nice to fly, but not very efficient. Those peaks at over 3800W where just crazy. I wonder how the new Vs will make a difference over the NHPs...
