My Rex will kick it's tail around 90 deg counter clockwise when I punch the collective. It's been about a month sense I last flew it due to weather and work but it was fine the last flight. The belt is new only a couple of flight on it, and looks good. It's equipped with a 401 gyro and JR 3400g tail servo.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

a question with many possible answers:

- are you using 106T gear and you are under 2800 headspeed?
you must increase headspeed or switch to 109T gear

- is your gain below 50% ?
try to understand why your gain is so low

- are you using weighted tail grips?
3400g, 9257, 9650 have not a so great torque ........ if your headspeed is very high they are not able to hold

- have you correctly setup your gyro?
read instructions

- have you controlled ATV in your radio?
look at the tail and change ATV

- are your tail blades enough rigid?
economic tail blades flap too much under heavy load

Hi bawufa
Thanks for the input.
a question with many possible answers:

- are you using 106T gear and you are under 2800 headspeed?
you must increase headspeed or switch to 109T gear
Using the 106T sense the 109T is next to impossible to get now, running a head speed of about 2600 in governor mode with a Phoenix CC35 ESC.
- is your gain below 50% ?
try to understand why your gain is so low
Gain is a 62
- are you using weighted tail grips?
No
- have you correctly setup your gyro?
read instructions
Yes, and of course why would you think otherwise, are you implying there are those that don't read instruction.
- have you controlled ATV in your radio?
look at the tail and change ATV
ATV's control the piro rate on the 401, I don't think there the problem.
- are your tail blades enough rigid?
economic tail blades flap too much under heavy load
Yep, no cheepy blades on this bird.

It was flying fine the last time I flew it, something has change during the month it was setting on the shelf, I just can't figure out what.

Hi MMike
The belt is a new one, I check for missing teeth and the ,tension on the belt is good.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.
