I was wondering if anyone has ran the new Thunder Tiger 620mm 3D blades on a 600 Nitro T-Rex? I am looking for a new set of blades and wanted to get some opinions on these new blades that TT just released (so I think).

Thanks

I ran the TT 620 on my rappie. I didnt care for them all that much. On the Trex, you may run into tail rotor clearence problem but I am not sure. You can always run smaller tail blades though.

I haven't ran those blades, but I do run BBT Evolution 620s, and there's enough clearance for them. Not much, but there's a couple of mm

Yeah, 620mm is a little long.

Take the 95s off the tail and you will be ok.....
I remember when 50's ran 80-85mm... those plastic colorful tale blades people fly and love are 85's

Do the 620's bog the head down excessivly in 3D, or is the 600Nitro light enough to run them in 3D flight. What about the autorotation capability's... Does it suffer or will it auto better? The TT blades I am looking at are carbon fiber and they are completly black from tip to tip. So i dont know if they are the same that every one else is running.

Thanks

How much do they weigh?
The blade you use should work for your flying style.. You will be shocked by the push 620's have but you should expect less cyclic responce than a shorter blade.... V's are sold as 600 but they are really 580-590 so they may feel faster than other 600's

Does this mean you will have more bogging?? That depends on your engine and your collective management. The question can be asked when comparing 690 to 710's Alan was flying 690's but Bobby Watts fly's 710's and he is very aggressive.

They are fine with 95s. Like I said above, there is a couple mm clearance with them.

Personally, I like how the 600s fly better, I only use the 620s because I put a 61 in my 600N and they better absorb the power.

I am running a 600 Nitro belt drive version, Futaba S9252's on the cyclics and on the throttle, GY401 w/ S9254 on the tail, Align tuned pipe, and a O.S. .50 SX-H Hyper engine. The 620's actually feel a little lighter than the Align 600B carbons. And they feel a little stiffer. If I ran 620's, how could i get the cyclic rates up. They feel a little slow compared to other 600 Nitros.\

Thanks, Thomas

With the 620's your sacrificing speed for poppyness. Really the only thing you can do to speed it up is faster paddles but they don't make a huge difference. I'd really just recommend 600 V-Blades. I feel they are the best blades on the market for 3d.

Would a good carbon 620 flip faster than a really flexy 600 fiberglass blade. I have the align carbon paddles, is there a brand that would be faster?

Faster would be rotortech 610s... Quickest blade on cyclics I have found that dont bog the head if you arent to good with collective management..

So I went a head and bought the new TT 620 Carbon blades the other day and to my suprise... it actually flips and rolls faster than the align fiber glass blades that I was flying! The only problem that I had was that I was running too much pitch and it was bogging the head down quite a bit. I was running +/- 13 degrees, i changed that to about +/- 11 degrees and turned up my head speed in normal mode and in stunt mode and that seemed to help a lot.
