My OS Hyper 91 doesn't seem to want to fit in this frame...do I trim the fan shroud so the head of the engine has a little room? With the way it is now the engine is canted in the frame. the Spur Gear, starting shaft & clutch are in alignment with the engine which screws up the mating of the spur gear with the Gray mainshaft gear. Before Itrim anything I'd like to hear what you guys think...there's some trick to it...right?

Regards,

Steve

The 90SE should have a removeable baffle in the fan shroud to divert air around the smaller head engines, like the YS. Or itr may have the old style R60 fan shroud installed that was not set up for the CSPEC style head

Yup, sounds like the old 60 shroud, was this a converted 60? How old is the kit?

upgrade
if its really old like more than 3 yrs

you will need a new servo frame and a fan shroud to allow the new 90 motors to fit

I'm not sure how old this kit is. I purchased it on Runryder a few weeks back. I have a brand new Standard 90 kit that I purchased from Hobby Habbit. I suppose I can pull the parts I need out of that and then replace them when I get around to it. Thank you very much for the insight. Appreciate it very much.

Steve

I guess I didn't realize that the fan shroud had a removeable baffle. Thanks for the help. I feel a little bit like a doof for not recognizing the fact that it was a removable baffle. I began comparing copmponents from the standard kit and saw the difference. The baffle and the two screws that hold it inplace. I removed the baffle and re-aligned the engine and clutch bearing holder. Now everything lines up straight & smooth. Thanks again for the help you guys.
