That is correct.
At least it is available now, when I bought mine I had to go out and find a 12V/3A PSU.

BTW, look around I hear some are getting the B400 for under $400.

I used a laptop converter to charge mine up for the first time its kinda loose but it got the job done for the first couple of times. Eventually got something to do the job right.

I got mine for $359.99 at Hobbytown in Omaha, NE.

I used 2 old computer power supplies for my AC conversion, works great.

Your CX2 uses a 2S battery. It will shut down if you try to charge a 3S pack with it. When you start getting into the larger packs, you want to be careful charging/discharging them.

JeepCJ,

I hate to disagree with you because I'm a Jeep Wrangler owner and I graduated from Syracuse Univ. (Haven't been back in many years) but you can charge the 11.1V 3S batteries with the CX2 charger.
There is a 3S port on the charger.
It just takes about three hours because the output is only 0.65A.

What you cannot do is use the CX2 power supply with the B400 charger.
The B400 charger requires a minimum of 3.0A and the CX2 one is only 1.5A.

If I have to be corrected, I am glad it is from a Jeep owner
(it's usually my wife who corrects me)
I never knew that about the CX2 charger, Thanks!

Wolfpacken, I was looking at a couple stock CX battery chargers at the shop, and could not find the 3S port. Just one on the side that says 7.4 do you have a pic of your charger? Just curious now.

Bob, there is an E Flight charger that does both the 2 and 3 cells. We have them at the store. Will show you next time you come in. Chuck

JeepCJ,

This is the charger that came with my CX2.
It is the older one, not the new version with CNC and 3 in 1.
Maybe they have changed.
