Got a squealing mini titan?
Just got a new motor recently (about 20 flights on it) and I noticed tonight that it was squealing on idle up. I knew it couldn't be the new motor, so i thought bearings....then I checked my main gear mesh and it was very tight. Loosened it up properly and the sound went away.

So before replace your motor or bearings, check that mesh.

High pitch noise
I was cursed with a high pitch noise in my MT.
There is ample information here at RR about this in
several forums. Finally one flight I was losing
lift, but the motor was spinning up Ok.
The main shaft was getting hot, and I cured the
problem by replacing the One way bearing inside the
main gear. I have many noise-free flights since
after this replacement. This noise haunted me for
several months before I found this flaw.
The bearing had only 70 flights on it when it failed.
Originally I blamed it on my 150 flight JGF 450TH motor.
The 450 is still going great after 200 flights with no
signs of wear or power loss, go figure.
