The stuff is called Zeal Vibration Absorption Sheet. I purchased some from Heliproz but found it does not stand up too well. Has anyone else tried this stuff and found the adhesive pulls away from the rubber material? I used it on my Lepton so no nitro to cause this problem.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

I would just add tiny amounts of clear silicon around the edges making sure the tape still has its buoyancy. That should help it stick and not come off as easily. Jimmi

We have this stuff called GOOP and it will hold anything in place, and is flexible. I will give some a try along with the stock adhesive film. This Zeal is definately nice stuff and I am sure the Gyros like it

Blik I've been using the green Kyosho Zeal Gel for many years (under nitro extremes) and it has never failed me. That stuff is very sticky and you have to pry it off. You may have purchased a bad one that wasn't up to snuff.

If not stored horizontal, whatever is mounted will creep off. Good stuff though, might supplement with a strap (pad under the strap). Mta Hobbies usually has it in stock. 310-533-6868 or get the 800# off their site mtahobbies.com

Zeal is the best gyro tape i've used. Yes it can creep but I usually use some kind of very soft restraint over the gyro just incase.

IMO, Goop is not resilient enough to absorb high frequency vibration. You really should use foam rubber double sided tape.

I just fixed a "jumpy gyro" Saturday by making a sandwich cushion.

Two double sided tape for bread, composite board for meat.

Low tech. Simple. It worked.

Point well taken Mr Jeep.

I've got it strapped in.

We all know what a loose gyro does.

Mike and Jeep are you saying you had the same problem as I? I think this is a great cushioning pad but if it moves around or like mine doesn't stick, then why pay the big bucks for something that you have to modify to work correctly.

Yes the Gel is much better than the foam, I will try a few different double sided tapes until I find one that works. Thanks for the info.
